It's finally Friday!!! What's not to love about Friday!

I love that I get to see her

By four o'clock today I will be hugging this silly girl
and probably crying tears of joy!
Six long weeks without my girl....
Boy have I missed her!!

I love that I saw this play....
Last night I went and saw Billy Elliot

Out of six women in our theater group...
myself and one other loved it
the others...not sure if they understand British humor and the story!
But we all agree the dancing was amazing!
The boy that played Billy....so talented!

I love that I finally read this ebook...
Last week I finished my very first ebook
Yes I'm slow to figuring out my ibooks on my Ipad...
But now I'm hooked!
I read...

Honey Crisp

Yes most definitely...my daughter looks at me like I'm crazy when I talk about things from our HS/college years. The electronics is day and night difference, TV shows, music, expectations of young adults today and privileges. I could go on and on!
4.  What's on your computer screen saver?  Do you leave it alone or change it often?
Random pictures of Katelyn. I usually leave them alone.
5.  If you had the attention of the entire world for two minutes, what would you say?

Why can we all just get along? Something along those lines!

6.  Four fashion trends to try this fall are-brocade/jacquard (fancy printed fabrics), peplum, lace, and printed pants...which of these four would you be most likely to wear?

Maybe lace but really none are my taste.

7.  What can make your bad day better?
Laughing or speaking to Katelyn
8.  Insert your own random thought here.

Pumpkin Pie poptarts.....seriously delicious...though I haven't found them yet this season...still hunting!

 4.  Since we're on the subject of fall...what's the worst fall you've ever taken?

5.  If you could own a prop from any film what would you choose?
Not sure maybe a fancy car...

6. What's the most interesting word you've read or learned in the past week?

Pinned on Pinterest this week, quote by Shel Silverstein

7. When was the last time you locked yourself out of your house, car, or office?  Was it a big deal?

It's been a long time....my most memorable locking out of car was when Katelyn was a toddler and I was trying to wean her from the bottle. My friend and I sometimes car pooled to work, I met her at mall to leave my car and was so distraught about the bottle weaning...I brought her all the bottles so I wouldn't cave. Hopped out of my car pushed the lock button and ran to her car throwing a bag of bottles at her and said don't give this back no matter how much I beg! Later that after noon before our exit I looked for my keys and couldn't find them....I knew I left them in the ignition but didn't know I left the ignition running all day long! Yup it was a big deal...luckily I still had a little gas left!
I still laugh about that now...it was pretty traumatic!

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

Oreos are amazing and you can't just eat one.....

Happy Wednesday!

Wednesday Hodgepodge

Hosted by Joyce at

1.  ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?  The NFL is back in action along with all the college teams.  Are you a fan?  Who do you root for?  If you're not a fan what do you do while the rest of America watches Saturday, Sunday, Monday night, and now Thursday night games?
In not a FAN but I watch with my hubby or at least I'm in the room and occasionally comment or yell. We don't root for a certain team...especially not the one in our town! My hubby grew up in Denver so he tends to watch them but again likes the game so it depend who's playing. I only watch Sunday's and maybe Mondays until DWTS starts!

2. What's something I'll always find in your closet?
Order
I like a closet with order....colors together, denim together, dresses etc...

3. Share one of your earliest memories.
I don't remember anything before Kindergarten...wonder if that is weird? I do remember walking to school and tripping and either hurting my lip or nose and there being a lot of blood and a High School taking me to the nurse at my elementary school....I think I was 5.

4. What circus act best describes your week so far?
Clown car....My sister drove me to airport yesterday in her mini cooper...aka clown car..Such a great car for parking and zipping around. Other than that I've been unwinding and relaxing.

5. What's a food you disliked as a child but you love now?
I'd say blueberries or any vegetable!

6.  Describe your summer in three words.
fast,different and hot

7.  Where were you on September 11, 2001? Will you do anything special to mark the day this year?
I had just dropped Katelyn off at school and returned home to clean up from breakfast and my husband called and said turn on the TV. I spend the whole day in front of the TV and many days after in shock. It's hard to watch the shows about it....I will say a prayer and always remember....never forgetting.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.
Katelyn is adjusting and do very well at school...she recieved 100's on her first two college test in Chemistry and Anatomy...we are really proud of her.
She texted me Friday and ask if she could get her ears double pierced...I reminded her she was 18 and could do what she wanted but no tattoos please!

Happy Wednesday !!!

I'm back from Brimfield and NJ

It's hard to describe Brimfield Antique show...it's the largest in the world.
6 miles of 6,000 vendors.
The first day we got there at 6 am...
Great for parking but bad for shopping...
A lot of vendors spend their mornings recovering and shopping other vendors...
That was a little puzzling...
Some didn't open their tents until 9 or after...
But I would still advise coming early, premium parking is a must.
We made countless trips back to our car.
My sister and I walk for 11 hours the first day and six the next.
so much to see it was the mecca of all things antique, vintage , industrial and odd!

We started our mornings with hot apple cider donuts and coffee...donuts were out of this world..
My sister tried to get me to just share one....haha she is funny...one isn't even enough!

The mornings were foggy and lots of dew..

you had to do a lot of picking through to find the treasures

 or art...something for everyone!

Some booths were set up like stores
those were the easiest to shop.
With 6,000 tents to see you had to move through quickly!

Best people watching in my life....
 cool pieces
Large pieces....lots of big items for stores and restaurants.
Saw many people with store plans and measuring items.
Some really odd and disturbing things

I bought a Christmas gift or two!
Lots of linens and grain sacks to be found....

The hands were everywhere...it was so creepy...
Lots of shoe forms and bright colored stuff

Industrial letters and other Industrial items galore.
On my sisters wish list for her back patio
 Always the preppy girl.

At the end of the day even this $238 dollar wine glass couldn't help my aching feet, legs and hips!
Next your I need to train for Brimfield!

If you ever have a chance go it's worth it....
They have the show 3 times a year
May,July and September!

I will post what I bought later in the week!

Happy Tuesday!
