I wanted to share our flea market finds:
Blue and White Spice holders....I have been looking for these for a long time. Only one missing is Salt.
Cost 2 Euros for set.
Gravy dish- 2 Euros
Another Gravy dish-2 Euros
(Isn't it pretty...I heart it)
More spice holders without names on them....1 Euro each.
Pretty corked blue and white delft bottle-1 Euro
Rumtopf-Rum Pot - I was told by the lady it's a rare find very hard to find in Germany right now. On the bottom it's mark West Germany-cost 7 Euros
It's perfect condition, never used from what I can tell. Rum Pots are used for layer fruit and rum and sugar stored in dark cool room for 3-4 months and used over ice cream or dessert at Christmas time here.
I love the green but am on a blue and white kick so I was on the hunt for a blue one too. Next day at flea market I found this baby...not quite in perfect condition but the color is gorgeous.
Cost 3 Euros...no lid but so pretty!
Linking up with Southern Hospitality today!

I LOVE those Spice holders. They look alot like a set my grandma had before she passed... Humm I wonder where they ran off to.
What beautiful finds. I'd love to show with you and get those spice holders.

OMG I'm in love with that first gravy boat! So wonderful! And the rum pots, maybe I'll have to go looking before we head over to the UK.
WOW! You sure found some wonderful pieces...♥♥♥ the gravy boats and the green vessel.
I love the red gravy dish!
Are you kidding me!!? Those are AWESOME finds...you must have the most fabulous fleamarkets around. Fun stuff :)
Gorgeous finds! I loved the colored glass and the practicality of it all- they're the perfect addition to any kitchen!
Wow. You found some amazing pieces!
Serious, serious finds! Holy cow! The spice jars have to be the best, they are just great. A friend of ours sells regularly in the Hamburg flea market and does pretty well, she enjoys it.
You must be getting super-busy with packing and preps... yikes! It's so cool you are coming back to the States!
Sending you a smile,
tp
SCORE!!!!
You must find the salt before you leave.
Wow. I feel as though I should go back just to hit the flea markets!
Great finds! Love the rumptof crocks. My mom has one. She used to keep Halle's large doggie biscuits in it. At one time she made the concoction and it was delish! There are lots of uses for those.
I thought of you today at our office. I had a "Frau" experience right here at work! One of our attorneys is a German fellow and his son is helping us out for the summer. Today his wife ran in the back door of our office. Did not say hello to anyone. Made a beeline for her son, sitting in the same room with me and another lady from our office. No greetings. She immediately starts a discussion with her son completely in German, he answers in German, they finish their conversation. She does not say in English or German.... hello... goodbye... NOTHING!!! then leaves as quickly as she came in!! It was truly a Frau moment!!!! xoxo
Loving the blue & white pcs Frau!
ps: fab new hairstyle~wooohhhh
xo
Oh, what deals you have there. My wife is entirely into china, which means I'm entirely into china. She collects place settings, old and new. She has quite the collection. Many are discontinued, so I search ebay for her, thats why I have an idea what pottery and china go for. And to get those neat items for only euros a piece, very nice.
wow - you certainly find some great things and for so little cash! The entire time I've been back and forth to Ireland I haven't found anything even close to these prices! : )
I'm also partial to the blue and white. I've never heard of rum pots before. Great weather and shopping, sounds like a perfect weekend.
I know this is not nice - but I'm kinda stinkin' jealous! you get the best things - for the most amazing prices! How fortunate that you found the spice set when you are only a few weeks from leaving?! (noone but you will realize there is no "salt" one. cause we can't read German!)
Enjoy the last visit from your nephew!
gorgeous weekend here too, are you excited yet about moving back to the USA?????!!!!
I love every single piece! Congrats on the great finds!
awesome...love.love.love em. such a lucky find!
Wow I love them all!!!
LOVE the blue and white, especially when accented with yellow! Have fun packing...great memories to take back to the states...
