So far....

It's been a busy week and half since landing on American soil. We spent a week in East Aurora NY getting adjusted to the time and finding our way around. Katelyn is registered for school, classes picked...checked that off long list. New York State driver's manual in hand and I'm sure she is studying hard...or will be soon. Our closing of our new home was bumped back to this coming Monday. We can hardly wait to unpack our suitcases and live like normal people.
Our sea container is on the way, we are tacking the vessel and should have our stuff by Aug 1st. Shoe Air  container on the other hand is somewhere in Europe, slightly worried about that. Our cars are on the truck ready to leave Utah, our storage here in Utah will be loaded tomorrow...so the light at the end of the tunnel is brighter.
All the dotted i's and crossed T's are falling into place. We have had a great time since leaving Germany, feels like a vacation coming to an end. I'm going to enjoy my last couple days in Utah and hope to be back to reading and writing blogs soon. Until then I hope everyone a wonderful week.

It is just so fabulous you are back, reading your impressions of things you are enjoying (different types of restaurants again) and things that are't so fab, like the noise levels in said restaurants.

We're crossing our fingers your closing happens on Monday, and sending up a prayer.

Great to see you back on the blogosphere. I will look forward to your blogs about repatriating and to see if there is anything about Germany that you will miss. Meanwhile, best wishes for your sea container to arrive promptly and all other deliveries as well!

I'm sure you are insanely busy, but with you being in Utah and all, I feel like I should be meeting up for lunch with an old friend!!!!

Glad the first part of your big move is over and that things are running smoothly! Moving is so NUTS! I can't even imagine doing it across continents!

I think I already said this: Good to hear that you savely arrived. I can only imagine how busy you are at the moment. But make sure to enjoy summer a bit...

Happy Weekend.

Glad to hear that everything's going good! I'm sure you'll feel much better once you're in your house and get unpacked though. Moving sucks, I can't imagine moving across an ocean, sending things on boats and planes. That just sounds like a recipe for disaster. I hope you get all your stuff, in one piece.

YAY - Welcome back. That is a cute dog. I took German when I was in 7th grade and I HAD TO SEE WHO WOULD CALL THEMSELVES 'FRAU'. I was fearful for a minute that you might be a dominatrix or something? Anyway glad you are back and I will check in once in awhile. W.C.C.
