Today...

I'm suppose to be taking down all the pictures in the house. We need to fill all the nail holes.....I'm excited to move omg...you know it....but I hate a bare house. The next time I will see these pictures is in several months, once our sea container arrives and we make a house a home again. It's bitter sweet really but ...this chair is so comfy!

I like that - my walls are kind of bare. I never am able to achieve a nice Pottery Barn effect so I don't even try.

WOW!!! Love that wall with pictures!! I am getting some ideas now seeing your wall!!:-) We haven't put up anything as yet, for the same reason of filling up the holes and repainting when we leave. But what the heck!!! I wish you all the best on your move!!

We are moving too! I am really excited actually...but a move across town will obviously be a bit easier than the move you are embarking on...where exactly are you guys headed? Are you moving to New York? (Like I said, I haven't been around in awhile... ;))

I love your wall and your sofa cover. Hmmm, maybe if I get a floral print, the smudges and pen marks won't be as obvious...?

All the best with your move!

What a lovely sitting area, very comfortable
Yes, it certainly is not nice when your things are now on a long way ... but then again you will feel yourself quite at home.

What a wonderful wall of memories! I so dislike moving-I hope I never have to do it again...unless it's something totally fabulous!!! And, I'd say this is pretty fabulous for you! Will you be staying in a hotel until your things arrive?

I sigh with you.I moved from New Orleans to Honduras. I loved my blue and white striped sofa and the bookshelves and mementos in that room. And the piano. However, my new orange/brown striped sofa and rustic wooden armoire of books are pretty cool too. You will overcome! Get packing!

The best part will be when you get to decorate all over again.

I love your gallery wall! I'm sure it is bitter sweet to be leaving, as anxious as you are to move, you've been able to experience something that so few get to do. Try to soak it all in before you go! : )

Back after a long vacation and re-entry into blogland (partial, actually since I still have my Dutch houseguest for a week more)...I was wondering if my favorite Frau moved yet.

I see you are in the thick of things....yes, before you know it you'll be "home"...where the "heart" is.

Glad you're returning home, but I'm sure not as much as you are glad. X off the days on the calendar. I'm sure you know them by heart! Congrats!

I kind of like bare walls. I've been contemplating removing all of my pictures and knick knacks just for a cleaner look.

Good luck with your move, Frau!!!

What a lovely collection on your wall! You have a gift for arranging your pictures! Love, love.

Good luck with the move!

I don't love the process of moving, but definitely enjoy living somewhere new and different when all is said and done!

What an inviting spot. TIme is really flying by Frau. It won't be long now.

And can we still call you Frau when you're back in America?
