It's getting to be that magical time of year!! Yesterday in my mail box and everyday in my inbox the enticements have begun. SHOP, SHOP SHOP....!
In the last couple years I did all my Christmas shopping online, and this year with free shipping and extra coupons I have done a lot of window shopping from my living room.
Since you can't feel or try on products I really rely on the rating and comments from other consumers.
I always get disappointed when I really like something and I read the comments and it's given a poor review. I really only let it influence me when there is several negative comments.
How about you? Do you read customer reviews and do they influence your purchases?

Yes, I have started taking more notice of review after being disappointed with a product. Sometimes I still buy a product though.
I'm not a big online shopper. I like to see and feel. For reviews I talk to friends.
I rarely if ever shop online. Unless it is a hair product or something from the East Coast that I "must" have. And I do not do Christmas gifts anymore either. Too much! What I do is pick a family or a senior citizen in need via one of the charity organizations. There are Christmas trees all over town which have stars or angels on them. Written on the star or angel is a gift suggestion for a certain gender and their age. You buy that gift, take it back to the store, they wrap it up and deliver it. Love it! & I can then enjoy the entire holiday season. xoxoxo
I am such an online shopping addict and I always read the reviews and I do tend to be influenced by teh negative ones, however if it's something I really want I know I can always send it back if it doesn't measure up.
I look things up online to compare costs at different stores, availability, and yes the reviews. It depends on how many negative comments there are, and what the complaints are about. I will occasionally make purchases online, but usually I like to see and hold the product first.
I'm a subscriber to Consumer Reports, and I rely heavily on their advice.
When I shop online, I rely on the comments as well, especially when it comes to buying clothing. I want to make sure that its true to size or not cheaply made.
Yes, the reviews HUGELY affect my purchases.
I'll admit it. The reviews definitely influence me.
I confess I am an online shopper. Yes I will read the ratings and it reminds me I should be doing the same and always forget. xo
Yes, I read the comments. But when they are all positive, I get very suspect.
I do a bit of shopping on-line. Donations to charities make nice gifts and they fit all sizes. I love to "thrift" shop so - for that I have to do it locally- I always feel better about knowing something was loved, yet not tossed. I am big on recycling!

I do!
Thank goodness for great refund policy provided!

Oh yes! Especially when it comes to hotels and restaurants. What a difference the reviews make.
Online shopping is becoming more and more my norm and I read as much as I can before I buy, but it's hard sometimes with clothes-- so I also read the return police too :-)
Lots of online retailers are offering free shipping this year too. LOVE that!
Charge! xo jj
Last Christmas, my son wanted a pink camper (I blogged about it :-). I went on Amazon and read the reviews and saw several negative reviews about how the fold out side falls off and you have to keep putting it back on. Well, I didn't let that sway me, I still bought it. Guess what??? Everytime Sprout or Cubbie play with it, the stupid fold out side falls off and they get totally frustrated! I should have believed the reviews.
I'm not big on internet shopping. I like to see/feel/test things out in person. But that's just me :-)
Oh, I love that feature too. My favorite place to shop is on Amazon and they always have ratings!!
I don't shop online to much..but sometimes I will go online to see what others say about it before I head to a store. I wish they had better deals for shopping online over here but they really dont.
Europe needs to embrace the coupon and gift card idea..lol
I love online shopping too, and really do like the reviews, but I take too good or too awful ones with a grain of salt.
