OMG......

Omg...I have a job interview on Thursday.......yikes I'm so nervous, it's been so long since I've interviewed!

Omg...What am I going to wear? I've been living in jeans and sweats for the last two plus years! I don't fit in any of my old work clothes! and shoes hello I wear Ugg slippers and Sorel boots or my Dansko clogs! My feet haven't been in a working girl shoe in years!!

Omg...I can't breathe.....gasp, gasp! Anyone else feel hot and faintish? Why am I sweating...OMG!

Omg...how am I going to sell my old self, my former job skills, not the solitaire playing face book, blogger tweeting self! What the hell did I use to do? Am I still good at it....my resume looks good but that is the old me! Yikes!

Omg...Where can I buy some confidence before Thursday? And lose 40 pounds too!! Damn my hair appointment to wash that gray right out of my hair is Friday!!! @#$&!!!

Okay, okay I'm taking a big breath....ah! only one solution!!
ALCOHOL!

Wish me luck and maybe say a prayer....mama needs new shoes!

Congratulations! I am sure you will be wonderful. I have kind of the dame dilemma on Thursday. I am volunteering to interview teachers for the new Jr. High they are building in our 'hood. I have nothing professional to wear - at all!

It's scary to go back into the rat race but 2 years isn't really all that long although it may feel like it. It'll be like riding a bike and you'll be wonderful and they'll be happy and lucky to have you be part of their team. The best of luck! :)

Walk in with the confidence that you can do the job. That vibe will be noticed, which is a good thing. Just be yourself; that will also be noticed.

Hey Congrats!! You'll do great! Just don't hyperventilate before then!
Get yourself in your car - go buy some lovely shoes, maybe some flattering black dress pants and you'll be feeling great! Then just strut on in there and sell yourself!
THEN, you can celebrate with alcohol!! good luck!! xo

You are a well spoken, well traveled woman! You will do FINE! Wear black or grey! That's coming from working at the Loft for 10 plus years! Of coarse, that depends on what kind of interview! If it's for spinning pottery or something like that, I say go colorful !!!

BTW, wouldn't it be great to one day hold a Bloggers weekend for fun and advice in the NY area???

I'm late commenting but I hope the interview went well! I've been on a couple and I feel old and out of practice. I'm out of the work mode and into the leisure mode. Except I still have kids in college so I seriously need to be in work mode!

I laughed at your comment about the old cell phones...in a suitcase-remember the bags you had to carry them in? And my husband started as a sales rep and would have to pull off the road and find pay phones. To make business calls! Seems crazy now but you did what you had to I guess.

Oh my gosh! How did it go! Any company would be lucky to have you as a worker. You are an excellent person and I know that would carry over to any task you needed to complete! I just prayed now, on Sunday, so 3 days late! Darn it!
