Friday Fragments

Joining Mrs. 4444's @ Half past Kissin time

Happy Friday!!!

Katelyn was home last weekend until Tuesday. It was great having her home, cooking for her, hanging out and just having her home. She saw her friends, went to all her favorite places and most importantly drove her car that she misses terribly! I drove her back on Tuesday...4 hours down stopped for lunch and 4 hours back....that was Tuesday and my eyes still hurt from the strain of driving....I think it is time to make an eye appointment!

Today is my sister Karen's Birthday!

Happy Birthday...love you and miss you!

I'm disappointed to say I didn't get the job I interviewed for the last several weeks....I'm really bummed!
But it is what it is and starting Monday I will start my search again! :(

My hubby was gone this week and now he is home...staying in this house alone for the first time was really scary! I know I'm... cough cough 47 46 cough cough but the boogyman exist right? I always check the usual boogyman hiding spots before going to bed....behind the shower curtain, closets and behind curtains....and of coarse sleep with one eye open and as little as possible!

We were going to carve pumpkins while Katelyn was home but never did....seems pointless now! Any other empty nesters that over time decorate less and less?

Have a wonderful weekend!

I still don't like being home totally alone either.

Poo on the non-job, but yay to spending that weekend with your girl!

Those were awesome pumpkins last year. We have never really been very good at it so I enjoy looking at others work.

I definitely use less Hallloween and more fall decor since the girls are not home. We will carve a pumpkin, but it's for the trick or treaters - I can't quite give it up completely :-)

"Home Alone" - eeeeek. I actually love my home alone time....well my dog is usually nearby to protect me from any boogy men.
I say care, decorate and create the job you want rather than waiting and searching. You have so many talents and are good at so many things. Really take that time alone and create the business you have always dreamed of. You can totally do it!~

Too bad about the job! Well it wasn't the "right" one. The right job is still there somewhere.

I LOVE being home alone.... Well not exactly alone due to 4 dogs but I enjoy my "space".

And true, I hardly put any holiday stuff out these days. I donated all the old holiday stuff long ago.

Sorry about the job-boo. I'm sure the right thing will happen for you.

I still put out a few decorations because they make me happy. I never did much for Halloween, more fall so I still do that.

I'm thankful for my big barking dog and an alarm system that mostly (but not entirely) counteract my overactive imagination! Enjoy your weekend...

I'm sorry about the job..that's their loss dang it. There is a perfect job out there for you I just know it :)

Decorate the pumpkins yourself and have fun with it..I'd be doing it if they actually sold the darn things in the stores over here..lol

Happy weekend!

A dog may make the difference. It's hard on married couples who have been together to be alone. But you may learn to like the private time.

So glad you got to spend time with your daughter. I'm a nervous wreck when I sleep alone.

Those are some PROFESSIONAL pumpkins! Wow.

Decorate??? What's that.

Oh, not really - - - I do a tiny bit for Christmas.

I am not looking forward to being home alone. I will not sleep I know.

Your porch looks great!

I did cut way back on the decorating (even though I still have one at home), but I still do seasonal decorating. It has just grown up some and I made myself excited about it again by buying new things.

Funny I mentioned the boogeyman in my post - must be the Halloween season. Being home alone is often very nice.

Those pumpkins were awesome! Of course you need to carve some this year...you'll be welcoming trick or treaters, right? You'll want it looking festive when the kids and the parents come a knockin' :)

So sorry about the job...maybe it just means that there's a better one out there waiting for you.

Have a lovely weekend, and I sure hope the boogey man stays away!

Bummer about the job :(. But don't worry you'll land something great! So funny about boogymen and such - I used to spend months in thick trees in muskoka alone. I was a little freaked out at first but gradually got used to it. I slept with a flashlight and my cell phone next to me every night.

I still decorate for most holidays...I feel like everyone would be disappointed if I didn't. When my kids come home I think it's nice to have things looking festive. Hang in there. Even though I hate being an empy nester I have become a little bit better at coping. :o)
