Sunday in my city- Burger Park Bremen

Burger Park is located in the heart of the city. For the last 143 years it has been run by Bremen's citizens. Burger Park is the place you go for relaxing and recreation. On a sunny weekend the paths are full of families walking or biking and roller blades. The lawns have people picnicking and sun bathing. There are several restaurants throughout and ice cream stands along the paths. It's a huge park one compared to Hyde Park or Central Park. The park has several lakes and rivers, in warmer months one lake is for swimming with a beach divided one side for families who wear swimming attire and one side for those who enjoy their birthday suits.

The first time we rode our bikes around the park it was a warm Sunday afternoon temperatures in the mid 60's. We happen to ride by the "naked" section of the park, it kinda catches you off guard to see the nakedness soaking up the sun on what I think to be a cool day for a ride.
Being American or maybe being from Utah, the European openness to nudity is still new to us. I think my teenage daughter almost rode right into a tree, naked people were sitting at picnic tables having lunch, standing in line at the snack shack like nothing else mattered.

It is a park for everyone and there is so much to do and see, pictures don't do it justice and one visit is not enough.

Do you know Unknown Mami? She's awesome and she's started a fun Sunday theme inviting you to get out and take pictures of your city to share with the rest of us. Stop by and see her city and many other's as well. Have a wonderful Sunday!

I love your pictures. I love that you have this beautiful place to visit. I would also be disturbed to run into a naked section. Oh my goodness! I am glad your daughter didn't run into a tree : )

Naked people! That would be tough for me to see too! I´m just a prude! :)
But I enjoyed your pic´s. Someday I will get to Germany and then I want to visit these places.

What a great spot to have near you for Sunday visits. Today the United Bikers of Maine are holding their annual Toy-Run. You can see and hear bikes for miles. The toys all go to those young ones less fortunate at Christmas time. It's really quite something- but I'm not there taking photos...I'm here-relaxing and enjoying the quiet.

What beautiful photographs. I can't imagine coming across all of those naked people while trying to ride a bike. I think I would've had the same reaction as your daughter!

I love your pics! It is so idylic looking and reminds me a little bit of some of the parks here in Glasgow, Scotland. x

So beautiful. I could almost smell the place and feel the breeze. Are the people at the snack shack naked too?

BTW, I'm naked under my clothes.

Such a pretty place. I would love to live in a city like that; nakedness not necessary, I guess. :)

I would've rode my bike into a tree as well!

It is a beautiful park. There's so many places to just relax and soak in the sunshine...but with clothes on. Don't they know that it's bad for the skin???

Wonderful photos! I I didn't read the whole title and thought I was going to get a photo of a ham"burger". LOL... I guess I'm getting hungry and need to get ready to head over to some friend's home for the game. xoxo

What beautiful pictures of the park! It would be disturbing to be in the naked section! Other than that, it looked like a perfect day.
I hope your having a nice September, and have a nice week!
XOXO

Oh and I forgot to say that I'm the same way with unexpected nakedness. We were in Miami this summer and it is fine to go topless there. Well, I just thought it was so odd. Plus, my husband was trying so hard not to look at all the boobs, but I know it was killing him.

What an adventure, living in another country and culture.

I did laugh out loud when you described your daughters reaction to the nude side of the park. I would probably do the same myself :)
