August Already

I feel like summer has been a blurr. Finally the light at the moving tunnel is here, our sea container arrived at our home yesterday. Air Shipment arrived last week, everything is here safe and sound. Now the fun begins...there are so many boxes, everywhere I turn boxes and boxes. I just want to wiggle my nose and have it done! I know I have been waiting for this and it should feel like Christmas. But the big decisions like where to put the Tupperware and which drawer is the silverware are overwhelming me. Our house here has more rooms the fill than our other houses but less closets and smaller rooms. Suddenly I hate everything we own and can't believe we have lived with it for so long. Okay I think it may be the overwhelming part of me talking....!
I have plenty of time so I'm taking room by room. I hope my motivation kicks in, right now I want to continue to sit on back porch sipping my coffee listening to the birds.

We really love our neighborhood, it's so peaceful. The neighbors we have met seem very nice. We received Zucchini bread for one, Blueberry cake from another, Sparkling white wine from one and Oatmeal cookies from another....not a bad welcome!

Okay off to find a home for the 20 boxes in my kitchen!

Happy Tuesday!

Oh I know that feeling. Good luck with the unpacking. Take plenty of breathers.

blah! I've unpacked so often and can feel your pain! It really does make you wonder about the things you own and how much you actually love them!
What lovely neighbours you have!
Good luck with the boxes! Love your new banner by the way : )

Been there, done that. The best advice I can give you is - one box at a time.

Good luck with the unpacking.
We are down to 89 days and then
we will be moving 1500 miles ourself from nm to nd.
i'll have all that unpacking to do to.. but i am glad i dont have to move all our belongings from nm to nd the af is taking care of that.
i guess the easiest way is 1 box at a time.
take care.. hugs ria

Sounds like you scored in the neighbor department. Good for you. Maybe the deer ate the baked goods left for us and our non-communicative neighbors were offended we never thanked them ;)

Oh, my. I sure do know this feeling. I still have about 10 boxes to do.

Sounds like you're settling in nicely, though :-)

How nice that you are ok! I'm very pleased again to read something from you.
I also have started again with some sports (now the Pilates Power Gym), but I'm always very lazy...
Liebe Grüße aus Germany, Petra
