Today I totally forgot to pack my daughters lunch.....yes I know she is 17 but it's what I do! First time in eleven years I forgot! She makes her lunch most days or helps but I always put it in her bag with a drink and off she goes. Today I came home from Bootcamp opened the refrigerator and saw it, I was stunned, like how could this have happen. This is not me I'm not forgetful , my next thought was holy sh@t she is going to be pissed. No child likes to be called down to the office and no child wants to be called down for that.

I hopped in the car and drove like a maniac to school ran in to the office and started confessing my sins...
like this is the first time omg...I can't believe it yada yada yada like the office girl cared! Until I looked to my left and saw a counter full of sack lunches other forgetful mothers had already delivered and a sense of thank god I'm not alone other mother's are on their teens sh@t list too. It's true misery does love company!

Good News is Mother of the Year is still up for grabs!!

Oh, I used to volunteer at the front desk at the high school....you wouldn't believe the crap the HS kids forget and that their parents bring for them. Between every single block, at least 20 names are called to the front office to pick up stuff. Every.day.

jeeeeese I realy need to proof read before I hit publish. lol. I wrote something like "Knocked up on the school parking lot" when I meant to tell you a story about how I was "knocked out" asleep on the school lot while I was supposed to be picking up Sally from Kindergarten. I slept for about an hour while she and her teacher waited for me. No one thought to look inside of my car!! I felt like a complete piece of $hit mother that day!!!
lol.
Have a great Friday.

I have to say packing lunches falls into the category of things I do not miss in the empty nest season of life....that got so old and my kids could always tell when the end of the year was approaching. I ran out of creativity in the lunch department. If this is the worst parenting moment you have you're still okay : )

The good thing is you remembered and she wasn't alone. smile... Now the question is, what did she say after school? Have a golden one! xo

I'd say your track record isn't too bad if it's the first time in 11 years.

Cute. I'm sure your status is intact :) You could have a lot worse faults as a mom!
