Last Friday of 2011

Happy Friday

❉ I can't believe we are in the final days of 2011.....it's making me sad how fast life has gone by. The last four years of my life have been a blink of an eye. So my changes and more to come.

❉ I'm trying not to focus on Katelyn leaving for college since it's not until fall but I find myself saying well next year when your gone...or this is the last Christmas as a child....yada yada yada....trying to focus on the now instead of the when.

❉ I worked three days this week ...it's been 3.5 years since I worked a paying job. I liked it but also wanted to stay home with my family, that were off on Christmas break...it was weird to be the one up and leaving early for a change.

❉ Katelyn and I have lost our picture taking mojo ! Last year we started project 365 a picture a day...I made it to day 222 and cheated a lot...some days I'd take a lot of picture and use them....I'm not a good rule follower. I really miss taking pictures but haven't been inspired for many months! I want to start the project again and perhaps make it to day 223!

❉ I'm taking down my Christmas decorations today I wish I could wiggle my nose and have someone magically clean it afterwards!

Happy New Year!!
Stop by Mrs. 4444's at Half past Kissin time for more FF!

Life changes are always scary but they also excite and lead to all kinds of fun possibilities.

Todd started doing the 365 picture thing and only made it to day 17. Congrats to you for making it as far as you did!
Taking down the decorations already? I wait until the day after New Years. I want the Christmas spirit to last as long as possible. =) Happy New Years!!!

I imagine I will be the same way when my daughter is in her last year of school. It will be impossible not to be sentimental.

I have a brand new camera...maybe I'll try the 365 day photo challenge. Life is full of changes...you will find a new normal but it will take a while. Be kind to yourself and enjoy this end of senior year with your daughter.

Happy 2012!

Happy New Year!

I understand your feelings with your daughter. Last year was like that for me. But this first year of college has brought more joy and excitement than I could have imagined. She has blossomed into a mature person who actually acts like a grown up.

I'm sure it will be the same for you.

I have considered the 365 project, too. I think most people cheat and play catch up in the fall and winter.

It's always a little depressing taking down the decorations; everything looks so bare.
I've thought about the 365 project but I just have a cheapo camera...not sure if that's what it's meant to be!

I'm freaking out about my kids leaving me for preschool. I don't want to think about college.

I like that you broke the rules on the 365 project (he hee). Anyway, I feel the same way about the decorations in that I wish I could just wiggle my nose and make them magically go back in their boxes. I waiting for the boys to go back to school before I start to put them away. Too much stress otherwise. Too many helpers!

not a good rule follower ? who is? Some rules were made to be broken right?
Oh one rule that should be followed - take down the Christmas stuff before St. Patrick's Day.

I got out of taking down the decorations thanks to J who had them gone by the time I got off of work yesterday. Lots of changes are in store for you in 2012 but good ones for sure. Happy New Year, my friend.

We had a fresh tree its lost needles like crazy so it came down on the 27th made me kind of sad but it was a fire hazzard! Glad to have things cleaned up and put away going into the New Year.
I went through the same thing on my youngest daughter's senior year and said many of the same things.
Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year!

Time does fly... I am hoping that these next few months go as fast as the previous months did.. and we will be sitting on the boat with the warm sun in our face...

I love the concept of the 365 project. I'm sure you're allowed to bundle your photo expeditions. Like you, though, I'm not a rule follower, more of a guaranteed rule breaker and I'm sure I would muck it up somehow as well.

I think it's important to recognize that things will be a little different next year; it helps ease into change.

I could never/would never do a 365, but I am doing a 52-week photo meme on FB. Wanna join? It's only two weeks old.
