Saturday Silhouette

I've been thinking about Silhouettes for some time....
I follow the blogger Nie Nie Dialogues
I love her header with the Silhouettes
I just finished reading her new book Heaven is Here
Cried and cried tears of sorrow and joy!
Her hubby gave her a gold pair of Silhouette earrings
one ear is hers and one is his for their anniversary! Sweet uh?

I've been pinning away on Pinterest Silhouette ideas
Here are some of my favorites

Now if I can just get my family to sit still long enough to take the shot
Here is a great tutorial on easy to do yourself Silhouettes

Soon I hope to line my stairway with various Silhouettes...
How about you....do you love Silhouettes also?

Happy Weekend!

Thanks, I've been wanting to do this for years.

I always like that one of two looking at each other and you can also see a vase. Interesting how the mind works.
I definitely would prefer the human subjects vs. kitchen items or even pets.
My favorite silhouette line is "I see a little silhouette of a man, / Scaramouche, Scaramouche, will you do the Fandango."
oh I hope I didn't ruin you fine idea. Oh I more unsolicited thought - it would be more interesting it the silhouette part was not black but some complimentary color.

I sure wish this blogger comment system had an edit function. I typo a lot.

I hadn't heard of the book. Will have to check it out. I LOVE the silhouettes in CAMEO earrings and rings. So pretty. Back in the day, my mom had my brother and I done in silhouettes. Kind of neat. Take care. ENJOY your new hobby.

Someplace in my house, there is a silhouette of myself, in kindergarten. I love it. I tried to recreate it with my own children, but I had no success, for some reason.

I went over to NieNie's via your link. It's been a long time since I visited. I'm not even sure I knew she was pregnant! She's such a fantastic writer and a beautiful human being.

i haven't been a big silhouette fan but did like the top pinterest shot you posted... it's got a nice moderen twist that makes me rethink my thoughts on people silhouettes.
so can no longer dismiss people silhouettes :)

however i did like silh's of objects when the trend hit the decor scene and still enjoy them.

Can you believe that I purchased canvases over a year ago just to make silhouette's of my children. Have never got around to making them.
