Wednesday Hodgepodge

Joining Joyce @

1. What's the best and worst thing thing about growing older?
The aches and pains!

2.   Autumn arrives this week in the Northern Hemisphere...what one thing do you love most about the fall season?
The crisp air.....soups and wearing sweaters!

3.  Speaking of fall...pumpkin seems to be flavoring everything these days-are you a fan?   What's your favorite pumpkin flavored food or beverage?
Pumpkin Pie poptarts.....seriously delicious...though I haven't found them yet this season...still hunting!

 4.  Since we're on the subject of fall...what's the worst fall you've ever taken?
Out of a tree house when I was younger...broken arm!

5.  If you could own a prop from any film what would you choose?
Not sure maybe a fancy car...

6. What's the most interesting word you've read or learned in the past week?

Pinned on Pinterest this week, quote by Shel Silverstein

7. When was the last time you locked yourself out of your house, car, or office?  Was it a big deal?

It's been a long time....my most memorable locking out of car was when Katelyn was a toddler and I was trying to wean her from the bottle. My friend and I sometimes car pooled to work, I met her at mall to leave my car and was so distraught about the bottle weaning...I brought her all the bottles so I wouldn't cave. Hopped out of my car pushed the lock button and ran to her car throwing a bag of bottles at her and said don't give this back no matter how much I beg! Later that after noon before our exit I looked for my keys and couldn't find them....I knew I left them in the ignition but didn't know I left the ignition running all day long! Yup it was a big deal...luckily I still had a little gas left!
I still laugh about that now...it was pretty traumatic!

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

Oreos are amazing and you can't just eat one.....

Happy Wednesday!

Oh my word, motherhood just fries the brain, doesn't it? That's a great story though : )

My brother used to eat a bag of oreos and a gallon of milk in one sitting. It was his after school snack.

I so agree with #1, especially today waking up to 30's weather. Wow... all day the car ran. Good thing the transmission survived. ☺ xo

That is such a mom brain thing to do, leaving the car running. Kyle did that when I left him and 2 week old Isaiah in the car while I ran in kyra's friends's house to get her. I chatted with the mom. Kyle got nervous and locked the door while he ran in to get me. He did want.anyone to kidnap Isaiah. The lock smith didnt charge me since it was a child locked in the car. Agreed on the oreos. I have been known to hide them from my family!

I have never heard of pumpkin pop tarts. How about pumpkin oreo's? Now wouldn't that be yummy??

I find your story about the bottles funny. The desperate things a mom will do. Not to funny about the car running. I'd be stark raving mad!

That's a crazy story about your keys! I've only locked myself out of my house once during the winter but luckily I was able to wait in our front vestibule for my guy to rescue me so no biggie.
Love that quote :)

Pumpkin pie pop tarts! I have done some pretty funny things like that and love the one of your keys left in your running car. Let's blame it on Motherhood!

So funny about getting locked out of something as you know my post today is all about how my sister and I got locked out of her husband's "keyless" car. It was a "moment" indeed when we realized what had happened...

My favorite pumpkin-flavored anything is pumpkin flavored ice cream!

number 1 - needs a best thing. I think there are good things about growing old anyway.
I had to read the lock out story twice. My first read had me wondering if you locked your toddler in the car. I think I got it now. She was the reason you forgot the keys but she wasn't there.
