How old am I???

I've lied about my age over the years....

Did I really fool anyone? Maybe a couple fifth graders but that's about it! Seriously how many times can you be 40 before you really forget your age! Several times in fact!! In my defense I learned this lie from my Mom.

So why the confession of age? Well in 10 days I will be 40 again...or 47! It's hard to pull off 40 especially since 40 is the new 30! I should actually say 50 and people would be like no way!!  In my family of five girls, three of us have October birthdays! I was wishing one a week or so ago a happy birthday and giving her a hard time about actually being 51 and wondering how our  other sister feels about being 49! She said to me she is not 49 she just turned 48 and I was like no I'm going to be 48! She just laughed and called me an idiot! Like sisters do!

You see this whole year I've been 47, even wrote about it, talk about it and truly believed it! Apparently math is not my strong suit...I was born in 1965! I am 46 for another 10 days! I was shocked in a good way....my sister thought she gave me the best gift of all another year! We laughed and laugh.

This is not the first time I've been confused about my age....when I was 38 I really thought I was 37 and told people all year I'm 37! I worked for my BIL doing insurance. I was figuring out a man's age to run a quote and our birthdays were days apart....the quote ran him as a 38 year old. I was like something is wrong with this program. It says he is 38 but our birthday days are so close and I'm 37! It hit me like a ton of bricks! I was actually kind of dizzy!

Some might say I'm an idiot or not the sharpest knife in the drawer when it comes to age!! Can I still blame my Mom at my age!! Is all I know I better call my hair salon and book my appointment no 46 year old should be this gray!

Try telling people you are 60 & they don't believe you!!

You look like you are late 30's anyway. Cute as a bug!!! xoxo

PS wish you were on Facebook more....

That's hilarious. My mother has never lied about her age (she's also an October baby), but she called me one year and was like, "I can't believe I'm about to be 65!" I said, "That's because you're going to be 64." She laughed and thanked me for giving her an extra year.

You are fabulous at any age.

Happy Early Birthday Wishes!

I am 48..... turned 48 in March. My husband, who does math for a living, got mixed up just the other week and tried to convince me I had just turned 47. Because I stink at math..... and like i said, he adds for a living, I believed him. I was elated..... actually had tears in my eyes to not be as old as I thought I was. He then busted my bubble and made me feel old again after he took out a piece of paper and actually added it up. Darn! 47 did feel good again, even for just a few minutes!

That is too funny! But nice to find out you went back a year and not forward. :) You look great!
I hope being 47 was a good year since it looks like you're doing it all over again! Happy Birthday!! xo

Hahaha! I'm the same way. I think that after you're past a certain age, you don't really keep track as much as you used to. These days when people ask, I actually have to stop and think first. :)

Have a wonderful birthday! :)

For years I would forget my age and constantly asked my husband. Honest - I truly didn't remember. Then I hit my forties. Now I know my age because I am counting down towards fifty. This can't be happening? You look beautiful! Don't forget it!

Hey Frau, Happy almost birthday!

You crack me up about your age because I've lied about mine for years and can't remember my real age either. I'll need my fingers and toes to figure it out.

Hope there's lots of cake at your birthday. It'll make 47 (or 40 again) a lot easier to swallow!

Too funny. I turned 30 this year. I don't think I'll ever be older than 30. Just saying...

Ha! That is too funny! I'm 39 and I keep wishing I was 35! Maybe I should try your trick :-)

That is so funny! I frequently have to do the math to figure out how old I am any given year.

It's really about how old we feel. Today I feel 27, Wednesday I felt 65. LOL

One year I had my sister convinced she was a whole year older than she was. We still laugh about that.

Happy Birthday!!

Unless you are a cheese, then age does not matter.
I still feel 27.
