Wednesday Hodgepodge

Joining Joyce @ From This Side Of The Pond Today!

1.What makes love last?

Trust and mutual respect!

2. The Beatles made their US debut fifty years ago this week. Are you a fan? If so, what's your favorite Beatles tune?

I like them....Favorite it's hard to pick one...how about Penny Lane or Ticket to Ride!

3. Valentine's Day-your thoughts? Do you celebrate in any way? Do anything special for the people you love? Expect anything special from the people who love you?

I try to express my love everyday so Valentines Day is really not anything special. We are making a special dinner and having some nice wine and perhaps a fancy dessert! I sent Katelyn a little package with treats! I got my hubby his favorite chocolate. I wouldn't mind my favorite chocolate and a nice note.

4. Steak or burger...you have to choose. Now that that's settled, how do you like it?

Burger- with ketchup and mustard, lettuce and little tomato on a wheat bun done medium well!

5. The Hodgepodge lands on the birthdate (February 12th) of Abraham Lincoln, 16th President of the United States of America. Lincoln is quoted as saying, 'Nearly all men can stand adversity, but if you want to test his character give him power.'  Do you agree? Why or why not?

I don't really agree sometimes power goes to peoples head and it doesn't reflect their true character.

6. Honest Abe's image is featured on the US penny (1 cent coin) so I'm wondering...what do you do with your pennies (or your country's equivalent)?  It's been suggested the US stop making the penny, and two bills have been introduced proposing just that, but neither were approved. What say you?

I try to get rid of them as much as possible....useless coin!

7.  Do you think pop culture deserves serious study?

Sure why not!

8. Insert your own random thought here.

Today it's freezing but we are lucky to not be on the East coast with this latest storm, enough is enough Mother Nature! I'm looking out my window it's -7 with wind chill -24 but the sun is shining and the sky is blue.....my thoughts and prayers are to those in the storms path...be safe and warm!

Happy Wednesday!

Well I think the supermarkets are loving it : ) I like the snow, but would be happy if we could skip the ice. I think it will be May before I can walk on my patio! Love your February blog header!

I enjoy giving gifts to the people I love. I do it often, not just on a holiday. That is very cold. Stay safe and warm......

Beatles are at the top and their songs will last a long time. It's very hard to pick a top favorite. It depends on your mood. I tend to enjoy their after-Sgt.Pepper-album songsa bit more than the earlier ones. I did a post about the CBS special.
The winter weather is wearing everyone down. I guess Alaska is getting a break.
