Sunday in My City- SALT LAKE CITY, UTAH

Happy New Year!! I'm still on Christmas break in Salt Lake City, Utah. It's been a wonderful holiday and it's coming to a quick end. I thought I would do a Sunday in the City in my home away from home. Before moving to Germany I lived in Utah for 26 years basically more than half my life. Salt Lake City is a beautiful place to visit any season there is lots to do and see. One of the things I love most about it is the mountains, they are amazing and so close.

Wasatch Mountains-Mount Olympus

Amazing sunset-view of Oquirrh Mountain

Salt Lake City Temple Square

SLC Temple Visitor Center

Winter Olympics 2002 were held here, there still are many sites to see associated with the Olympics.

Gateway outdoor mall- me posing with the Missionaries! Well I was to chicken to ask them to pose so this is the closest I got!

Have a wonderful Sunday!
Go visit UNKNOWNMAMI and travel the world with her and her friends.

Love The Gateway. However, how stupid is it that they put an outdoor mall in Utah? Oh well.

I never gave SLC much of a thought when I lived close in AZ. Now that I know more about it, I wish I had spent some time there...to go skiing, if nothing else.

Gorgeous. Enjoy the rest of your vacation.

We flew into SLC in October at sunset. Wow! Was it ever gorgeous! The entire plane fell silent as we soared around those mountains into the valley and watched the most beautiful sunset!

I love the temple and buildings in your city, home away from home. I got a kick out of the one gent looking your way towards the camera. Enjoy the remaining visit my friend. xo

I've been to Park City many times but never Salt Lake (with the exception of the airport). I always want to take a day trip there, but I'm a skier so the slopes always win! :-) One of these days...

p.s. Threw my pumpkins away. ;-)

I love SLC. I do the touristy things every time I'm there and NEVER tire of it. :) Did you or have you gone to the Pioneer museum by the capitol building?
