Today

Monday's always start a diet on a Monday. Today I'm starting new, taking a step towards a healthy lifestyle. I'm long over due and have lots of really good excuses but in the end I have only myself to blame. I'm going to make better choices and reintroduce my self to our mini gym in the basement. Drink more water, lots more and drink less or none of the hard stuff. Hard stuff being soda and alcohol wish me luck it's going to be hard.

Our unpacking is going quite well, Katelyn has been a huge help and a good majority of the house is up and functioning. There are still boxes and boxes of stuff. Luckily we have a full unfinished basement that we can store everything. Our German movers did a great job, so far we have nothing broken. That's pretty good considering the distance and amount of time and people that handled and re-handled our stuff.

I really like where we are living. My husband work is 8 minutes away, so he comes home at lunch almost everyday. I love how quiet it is here. I love hearing the Llama's from the farm below our house. Seeing deer wonder through our yard. I love being able to drive twenty minutes away and be at the largest mall around or go to down town Buffalo or cross the boarder and be in Canada. We are really looking forward to all the new sites to see within an hour of our home.

I think TODAY is a good day to start new, I'm sitting here in my living room and it is starting to feel like home. I'm really happy and comfortable now I need to go put on my yoga pants that have never been to a yoga class and dust off the elliptical machine and sweat!

Happy Monday!

It's always hard getting into some sort of routine..espically when it comes to exercise..get on those walking shoes, take your camera, and head out on walks! I bet you could find tons of things to take pics of while walking : )

Have a wonderful day my friend!

It sounds like you are living in a wonderful place. Be kind to yourself. Once you begin exercising, you will find yourself wanting to keep it up for the feeling you get from it. Much success! :)

It's so nice to hear that you're settling in and you're HAPPY! Moving is so stressful, especially when it's to a place where you are having to meet all new people and find your way around. The location is exactly what I would want - I adore the peacefulness of being in the country.
Good for you with your new start! You are inspiring me to do the same (I know I've got some workout clothes somewhere....)

Now's a good time, because there is no holiday in August and Labor Day isn't too tempting b/c it's usually grilling....so that's gotta help with the lifestyle change.

Kathy!! So glad you found me and I finally found you! Love what I've read on your blog. Need a while to catch up on the past...what...2 years or so of blogging. I'll do that though! Glad you're off to a great start. If you need motivation, have eating or workout questions, let me know! Hope to see you at Christmas! You'll be there, won't you? I know I will!!!

It sounds like you're so happy there! And I loved it when my husband worked across the street. Now he works up to an hour and a half away some days...

I'm so happy for you :)

You should check out SparkPeople--It's free and has helped me a bunch with my lifestyle changes. (I have a post about it in draft right now.) I put a link tonight (in my sidebar) that leads to my "smartpage," but you don't have to use that part of it. Just go to SparkPeople.com and check it out :)
