Today.....

It's absolutely balmy out TODAY! Temperatures yesterday, minus 7 and this morning 30! Crazy but I will not complain! I had Sophie groomed last week, all her curls are gone! She is cold, I find her curled up in a tight ball....so for the last couple days she has been wearing her Snuggie! I think she likes it!

Here she is looking for her boyfriends....Duncan across the street a Chocolate Lab and two doors down is Cooper a Labadoodle.....she has good taste! All you have to say is their names and she runs from window to window looking for them.

I'm so ready for January to be gone I'm forcing February. I decorated for Valentine's Day this weekend. Nothing too crazy just two of my mantels...here they are!

Banner idea I borrowed from Leslie @ a spoonful of

I really don't have a lot of Valentine decorations, unlike one of my four sister's that has 4 rubber made totes of Valentines and goes absolutely crazy decorating! I did go to The Christmas Tree Shop yesterday and scored some cheap St. Patty's Day stuff! If you have one in your area....have you been? They have everything and anything fairly cheap!

Have a wonderful "TODAY"!

Sophie is so cute in her Snuggie!! For winter I don't have my little flock clipped way down, I keep them fuzzy. It is interesting each of them have such different coats. Toby's is super thick, Ginger has fine hair, and Jeter and Halle have in-between.

Stay warm! Love your Valentine mantel decor. Looks very pretty! xoxo

With the warm weather today (not) maybe you and Miss Sophie can take a little ride. She looks great in pink. xo

I decorate for all holidays... love it (nothing major)... Christmas, Thanksgiving and Easter the most....but I have a wreath for my doors for Calentines Day and a few "red" things I put out... AND...I love the Christmas Tree Shop - so happy they are in other areas besides Cape Cod...
Your mantels look beautiful...stay warm and hope to meet you when in "our" town!!!

I've never decorated for Valentines, usually because I'I'm in shock that January has gone by so quickly! Actually, with all the snow we've been having, most of my neighbors still have their Christmas lights up :)

With kids there's always a reason to decorate.
I love red, so it's fun to decorate for Valentine's day.

Adorable doggie pic.

Your Sophie shot is so adorable. Both my cat and dog spend time looking longingly out the window. I'm totally hearing you on the January thing.

I know! This weather is crazy! Sophie looks so cute! I used to love when our Martha got groomed and she had her furry little jumpsuit on :)
Your decorations look so cute! I don't typically do anything for Valentine's Day to decorate so it's fun to see :)

I love that you decorated for Valentines day! How wonderful. I am going to do that this year. Well, I am going to make it a goal to do this year....you know how the things I say I am going to do never get done : (

Both your mantels inspire me to start getting ready for Valentine's Day. I usually have friends over for dinner so I'll be pulling out the cookbooks to find a new "red" dessert to make.

Since I started working in a school I have had to get with the program and know that not only do you decorate for holidays, but you have to wear the colors. I am ready with my Valentine red. And yes, it does feel like it is a lot "warmer" today! Snow tomorrow though...
Best,
Colleen

In comparison, today felt so warm I didn't wear a coat!
A couple of weeks ago i would have been freezing at 30 degrees :)

Hmmmm. Maybe I should decorate for Valentine's Day to make me forget about all this wintry stuff outdoors.
