A Cause just because.....

Happy Saturday everyone....

I wanted to share a few Causes I'm supporting and trying to help spread awareness... Social media is an amazing tool. Between your followers on your blogs, Facebook friends and tweets....request for prayers, request for support and kind words or making you aware of a need can spread like wild fire.

Three of my follow blogging friends posted this week about ways we can help....they didn't ask for others to blog about this .....I'm just choosing to. I know in these tough economic times it's hard to have extra money. So the reason I'm blogging about it is maybe you don't have the extra money to support. But with social media just by linking to your FB or tweeting maybe one or two of your friends or followers does!

First is Amy at Amy's Assorted Adventures , Amy and her family run an orphanage in the bush of Africa. She needs help buying chickens so they can produce eggs to feed the kids and sell to help keep the orphanage running. $11 buys one chicken and that one chicken can produce eggs for years to come.
Even if $11 dollars is not do able right now the orphanage is always in need of other things and prayers too. If any thing spread the word on FB/Twitter stop by her blog read her story.

Next is  Joanna I call her JJ at The Fifty Factor she has two little 9 year old friends on a mission to raise money and awareness for Lupus. Rosebud's mom has Lupus, her and her cousin BB raise money all year long for the cause and spread awareness. The determination and drive these two 9 years have is amazing to read about. Again if you can give....spread the word and perhaps others can. Say a prayer for Rosebud she also suffers from a rare kidney disease and say one for her Mom too.

Lastly is Melissa she is my Canadian neighbor. Melissa is a 30 year with Rheumatoid Arthritis, she is putting together a team to do the "Walk for Arthritis" in November helping raise money for Arthritis research. Melissa is an amazing person to me, her attitude and spirit is in the right place...she is doing the most she can to spread awareness about RA and support and educate others through her blog and being apart of causes like this. Her team is called Rheum Crashers, she may not be able to do the walk because of her RA, but the money for research and awareness is the goal. Again if you can't give spread the word  maybe someone else can. Melissa blog is A Gracious Calm stop by and say hi and cheer her on at the very least.

We are all blessed, I feel extremely blessed that I'm healthy and so is my family.... Have a wonderful Saturday and Hello October!

A special Happy Birthday wish to my sister Beth...love and miss you!

Great causes! The chicken cause sounds so simple yet, I know how much it would benefit and last a lifetime.

PS..you and your sister look so much alike!

Haapy Birthday your sister! So many needs. I hope the causes you are helping are helped :). I have my own plate full at the moment, but if we all find a few things we can support it makes a difference!

This is so nice of you to do for others. We can all use a reminder of what is truly important and that is the connection to others and how we can help either financially or spiritually.

p.s. I love your fall photos and wish we had your rain.

Have a good week, Kathy and happy birthday to Bess! :) xoxo
