Katelyn's Prom

Katelyn had her Senior Prom this weekend....she had a great time...with her date and group.
It was a long day week of prep....and I'm personally glad it's behind us! Everything turned out beautifully....hair,nails,makeup, dress and the weather!

The theme of her prom was Midnight in Paris....she said decent meal, lots of dancing...music okay, too much country music (but when you live in the boonies what do you expect) no prom drama...which is always a plus! I received just the facts....very little info :(

After prom they have a lock down event which they have a choice to go to...her group went...they were pretty tired by then...lots of games and prizes and food but mostly hanging out. After that limo took them to one of the girls house for more fun...bon fire and camp out! By then the rain started and the camping happen in the living room of girls house....she was home the next morning by 11:30 tired...and is still tired!

Her friend came over the next night and they scanned FaceBook for hours commenting on everyone's dresses and hair.....Girls!!

Last two days of school and in a 11 days Graduation....than Summer can begin!

P.S. Not sure if the garter wearing/presenting is a Western New York thing??? I personally have never seen it before....but apparently it's part of a prom tradition here!

Wow, what a rainbow of dresses they made together!

She and her date look wonderful and so happy. Prom is such a fun thing, but eeks, it's her last one!

So beautiful....the girls look like a rainbow! Katelyn and her date looked gorgeous!! The camp out was a great idea. My girls are little rockers like their dad... sally always complains that her middle school dances played to much rap music. Happy Monday.

Hi Frau, I am so glad you postedProm pictures. Katelyn and her friends all look so beautiful. I'm glad the weather held out and the drama was kept to a minimum.

I'm from Ohio and a hundred years ago at my Prom we did the garter thing too. I have no idea why but I guess it's a Midwest thing? They don't do it in Los Angeles.

Hard to imagine your gorgeous daughter is about to graduate. I'm sure you'll have a lump in your throat when you see her in her cap and gown. It's a big deal for all of you. hats off to doing such an amazing job raising her!

I kinda feel for the boys these days..so much pressure in how they ask. I wonder how some of them will top it with their proposals?

I love all the color! Your daughter looks beautiful! I've never heard of the garter thing for a prom. A drama free evening is always a win!

What a wonderful memory for Katelyn and her friends and for you too! Hopefully Dad was home to get in on the fun. I love the long dresses. They don't do that around here but I think it is very glam.

What is the garter thing? I'd like to know. Can't wait to see the graduation pics.

Did you find a collage program? I read your comments on pic monkey. Did you use it? I've been looking too.

This Midnight in Paris-themed prom is so romantic and elegant, and the limo is definitely the cherry on top of the cake. It looks like they spent their time cruising around the City of Love. Hehe! They all look gorgeous! It's a special night for your daughter, and to have spent it with her friends as a senior is a milestone in her life. Congratulations on your daughter's graduation day!

Yeah, that garter thing is here, too, though I don't remember it being a big deal to Kendall when she went last year. She also went this year (with a friend) but did not mention needing one. These pics are great.
