Move over Martha....

Some one else is getting crafty!!
Yesterday I fired up the new sewing machine...
for the first time since receiving it from Santa's elves!

My goal
outdoor pillows for my back porch sitting...
Right now the cushions are a blackish/brown toile
I'd like to replace them to a more neutral solid
but perhaps next year....it's beyond my sewing skills!
I'm going for a more red, white and blue nautical theme.
Done in outdoor material, resistant to mold and fading...
I whipped out four pillows before running out of filler.
I need three more pillows....

 Sophie enjoying the new pillow
With all crafts I do there is always blood involved!
Went a little crazy with my pizza cutter like fabric slicer...
battle wounds...I'm sure Martha has had her share!

Happy Tuesday!

They look great. My hubs tells me I'm not allowed to use kitchen knives when he's out of town : )

wow! look at you! They look awesome!
I know what you mean about battle wounds - when I made my slipcovers, there was WAY too much swearing going on and you wouldn't believe how many dots of blood I had to stop and wash off the fabric as I went along.

OUCH!!!! I have to always be mindful of my slicing skills, I have injured myself a number of times!

Love you new pillows but I adore toile! Your wicker furniture is so pretty. And Sophie looks like a little Princess on that chair! xoxo

Yikes! Goes to prove that I really shouldn't try my hand at sewing...looks dangerous ;) Great job on the pillows! I love the nautical print <3

You did an amazing job on your pillows! Even though you had a battle fight with the cutter (ouch) you will have such pride everytime you see your pillows. Oh... Sophie told me, she would love to have you make a big doggy bed pillow for her. ;D xo

You need to put your pillows on Etsy. Love the patriotic fabric on the summer porch. Ahhh. I was looking at outdoor pillows on Frontgate. You could definitely sell yours. :)
