Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. In what way are you your own worst enemy?
Sure I can talk myself into and out of anything....I'm the devil on my own shoulder!
2. Jacques Cousteau's birthday was Monday, June 11th...ever been scuba diving? Is that something you'd like to try? What's your favorite 'under the sea' creature?
No on the scuba diving and I have zero interest, not a fan of underwater activities. Favorites sea creature Dolphins.
3. On a scale of 1-10, how comfortable are you in and around the water? (1=not at all, 10=very) Do you know how to swim and if so how and when did you learn?
5 depending on the water.....if a pool I'm a 10, if the ocean I'm a 3, if a lake I'm a 5.....depends on the threat of danger! I learn to swim in a man made lake....but my skills are rusty!
4. What's something you do to motivate yourself to tick an item off your to-do list?
A deadline
5. What makes a good neighbor? Are you a good neighbor?
Being friendly, helpful and attentive (aka nosey) I only say that because once our neighbor left their garage open all night and someone stole their car....so now if it's pass ten and the garage is open you may receive a text!
6. Who loads the dishwasher at your house? Is there a right way and a wrong way?
We all do...there is no right or wrong in this house.....well except it's helpful if the dishes are rinsed first...just saying!
7. You know it's summer when_________________________.
My legs are covered in bug bites! The black flies and mosquitos are out in force!
8. Insert your own random thought here.
School for my senior is officially out....now she waits until the 22nd to graduate....today starts the sleeping in and staying up late...for her! I on the other hand am still up like clock work at 6am letting the dog out and feeding her...I wish dogs sensed summer break!

Happy Wednesday! Stop by Joyce's at From this side of the Pond for more Hodgepodge!

My dog does whatever I do. I think that's one of the pluses of a big dog...bigger bladders : )

Our past dogs, Buddy and Kelly were up with the chicken. Not Bo, he wants to go to bed at 9:30 and bugs me to go with him. If I don't he finally will go up by himself and will sleep till 7:30 am! The latest for him is 9:00 am!! That time I had to go up to make sure he was breathing.lol... He is only 3 yrs old so I can't imagine how he will be when he is an old pup.
Yippee on schools out. I hope you girls get to spend some one on one time before college starts. xo

Oooh...I wouldn't be a happy camper if our dogs insisted on waking me up at 6 AM. Thankfully, they sleep in until about 8 AM, so I can't complain. Bug bites of any kind are no fun! I've already had a bout of chigger bites.

Yes I have to have a deadline to accomplish things. Hope your daughter enjoys her summer. Our dog will sleep as long as we sleep.
She doesn't even go out sometimes until late morning and likes it eat in the evening.

I am with you on the scuba diving thing. I don't like the pressure on the ears when you go beyond a certain level of depth. On top of that I prefer to swim in the pool-no creatures. Beaches are nice to sit on and watch my children swim. Yes, I can imagine it would be nice if the dog could sleep in later. I am with you a loaded dish washer is better than an unloaded dishwasher. Who cares which way it is loaded as long as they come out clean.

aka Nosey…. I like it!
Todd usually gets up with the dogs at 5am. That is his normal time for getting up for work. The dogs don't know when it's a weekend or summer break. I elbow Todd if he doesn't get up with the dogs. LOL

Dogs: mine watch me closely like I am a reality TV show. When I move from room to room, 4 dogs follow, then flop down to nap like they had been there all along...

Dishwasher: with mine, a Bosch, rinsing is not necessary (truly, I tested it) BUT because it is just me and Mr. O in the house I DO rinse the dishes.. I like a nicely organized load of dishes but it does not matter if they are loaded "correctly" or not. I am the only one who loads it, Mr. O not so much, if ever. I almost throw a party if he brings the garbage can back up next to the house.....

ah yes, dogs and their morning pee pee - one thing I don't miss :) and bug bites - no bugs in Dubai.
We've had many nosey neighbours except not in a good, helpful way. I find myself seeking out more and more secluded homes! :)

I'm not a fan of underwater activities either. I find them terrifying. My favorite ocean animals are killer whales.

Our college twins are home and staying up late and sleeping in....but that is about to come to a stop...one leaves for Tanzania and the other is crafting his resume to hit the pavement and find summer work.
I have a job for him today....at a friends.
