Stop by and join the fun!
1. Aloha! On August 21, 1959 Hawaii officially became a US state. Have you ever been? Upon arrival would you prefer an orchid or a hibiscus to tuck behind your ear?
I've been once when I was 20, I hope to go back someday with my hubby and daughter. I think I would prefer a hibiscus behind my ear!
2. Since we're talking tropical...what's your favorite food or beverage made with pineapple?
I love pineapples but just alone not in anything.....wait maybe on a pizza or in a stir fry...Yum!
3. Do you believe in soul mates? Explain.
I believe some people are meant to be together...how fate works in there favor.
4. Share a memory about the house you grew up in.
I was just sharing this memory with Katelyn last week as we were carrying many things down the stairs...back in the day aka 70's I remember going down the carpeted stairs in a laundry basket....could you imagine today letting your kid do that?
5. Are you comfortable with silence?
No
6. You spot a giant spider on your bedroom wall...what's your next move? (all spiders are giant, right?)
Grab the vacuum and suck the thing up all the while screaming!
7. My idea of fun does NOT include ______________.
Karaoke
8. Insert your own random thought here
My only thoughts this week of coarse are of Katelyn...as a parent you know your child is ready for college but as a mother your wired to worry. I miss her so much but am so happy for her to have this opportunity and am excited for all that is ahead of her. I wish I could fast forward time a couple weeks and know all is good!
Happy Wednesday!

Karaoke is okay as long as I'm allowed to be a spectator and not a participant : )
Hope Katelyn is loving college life. There are always a few adjustments initially but I'm sure she'll do great and so will you!
...and good it will all be. As for singing I cannot carry a tune. Kelly use to howl when I did. :)
If you don't hear much from her, its going well.
We would use a laundry basket to slide down our hill when we got rare snow. Redneck sled.
Karsome is pretty bad! Have a great week!
Mmm, I love pineapple anything.
OMG! OMG! Going down the stairs in laundry baskets was the BOMB!
Vacuum the spider! I will have to remember that one, because I hate to feel the crunch when I smash them! Yuck! We LOVED sliding down the carpeted stairs on or in anything!
soul mate - nah only checkmate
spider - ask her why she is visiting?
Now that Katelyn is settled in at school maybe it's time for the return Hawaii trip.
Enjoyed reading your answers. Going down the carpet in the laundry basket sounds like fun.
It's hard when they go away to college. ((HUGS))
Your pineapple answer made me laugh!
I love silence, but I adore the chatter of my kids even more.
I can't vacuum spiders because I think they'll crawl back out. lol
I'm not a fan of karaoke either no matter how much I've had to drink! The laundry basket thing is funny - reminds me of college when we slid down the hill near campus on cafeteria trays :) hope youre hanging in there!
You are a great mother with a great daughter. She is in a great place.
Hope you are hanging well and now I'm thinking of Hawaii. I send my son off this weekend and my DD the following week. Hoping for the best.
