1. How will you spend 'the night before Christmas'?
We will probably eat Mexican food and watch a Christmas movie and attend Mass.
2. What is one thing you are not?
A supporter of guns!
3. Fudge-are you a fan? Your favorite flavor?
Yes but only once a year....I like vanilla
4. Did you attend any craft/vendor fairs in the month of December? Do you prefer homemade goodies or the more professional stalls? Are you giving any homemade gifts this year?
No I didn't attend any. I like both homemade and professional...I miss the craft fairs in Utah...the talent there is amazing. If putting candy in a jar is considered homemade than yes!

Casual and anything involving food, laughter and good cheer!
6. We're approaching a new year...what's going to be different in 2013?
I hope to be employed and working on losing weight and being healthier.
7. Share a favorite scripture, quote, saying, or song lyric relating to peace.
John Lennon- Imagine
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I'm still so sad and consumed with the tragic loss of life in Newtown, CT. My heart like many will ache for a long time. I'm conflicted because this violence disgust me ,but my other random thought is how bummed I am that my two favorite shows ended this week...Dexter and Homeland! Probably two of the most violent shows out there...I really believe that violence on TV and video games etc...are a contributor to todays violence amongst many other factors of coarse...we could debate this forever so in the meantime...I'm praying for peace and strength for Newtown, CT!

You may be right in that kids are so desensitized to the reality of what violence truly is because it's all so neat and tidy in the movies and on tv.
Mexican on Christmas Eve sounds fun!
We can only imagine. Your random thought is wisdom.
It's on the news over here and it just makes me so sad. I do think changes need to be made but I dont know if the majority of the U.S. is willing to make them.
Like you I'm still reeling over what happened in Newtown. I just hope this brings real change to laws in this country and a change to the hearts of all people all over so that we move towards more love and compassion in everything we do.
We need change in the US... I think this is the first time in 8 years of living in Norway - that I am happy I am raising my children here.. - that pains me to say... I couldn't be more proud of being American..but this gun debate is making me SICK... to add to the misery are my friends fighting on Facebook... UGH.. Peace on Earth - good will towards man.. lets hope.
Kicking back with some Mexican food ( could be my favorite food) and watching xmas movies sounds like a awsome relaxing way to spend xmas eve.
Lennon and image, also one of my favorites.
Homeland....ANOTHER favorite.
The question of gun violence as it is related to out entertainment choices, that is a study that should be done in earnest. Personally I don't think there is a correlation but believe me, I have been wrong before.
Here's hoping your holiday is wonderful.
Maple fudge is really good.
John Lennon was taken away too soon by gun violence. I do wonder if we are violent culture.
I love Rocky Road fudge! I like the sound of eating Mexican on Christmas Eve!
I just started watching Homeland and I'm hooked.
So true, I only thing of making fudge at Christmas! I do think that too much violence is on TV. I myself don't watch many violent shows, I can't stand it. I think the video games kids play are awful too. Way too much violence.
Really life isn't a video game, people die!!!
Candy in a jar is homemade : )
I think video games especially are something to look at. So many of these boys especially, in that late teen/early 20's age range, seem aimless. They spend hours playing very violent, very realistic games. I think it is numbing and desensitizing both.
I don't know the answer. I am praying often for these families and for our nation too.
Hope you have a Merry Christmas! I have both girls home now which definitely makes the Christmas spirit kick in : )
I had a plan to make it to a craft fair this year but never followed through. :(
