Monday.....

It's Monday my head feels cloudy, my eyes hurt, lots of pressure. Oh I hope I'm not getting sick! I've been obsessed with the fact I didn't get a flu shot. I'm afraid I'm going to get the flu, but I didn't want to go to my doctors office, where all the sick people are to get it... in fear of being exposed to too many illnesses. I was going to get it last week at CVS but was afraid I'd get a version of the flu from the shot and had an interview plus Katelyn's last week home so I opted out. Now I'm convinced this Monday feeling is the start of something much more! Yikes!

What a week I had....I did interview prep for the good part of last weekend and early last week. My interview was on Wednesday. It was for a receptionist/administrative assistant. The interview was over four hours long....four hours yes you heard me right. Yes for a receptionist/admin position. I know a bit extreme right. I found out last minute it was a interview style I'm not familiar with but what everyone is using today, it's called Target Section Interview. I had a panel of two women in two separate interviews basically asking the same questions but they sound slightly different and my answers must be totally different. It was the toughest interview I've ever been on. I was exhausted for two days after....! I will be surprised if I get the job.

We took Katelyn back to school yesterday! She has been home for six weeks....kind of a long break. I loved every minute of it but I think it will be nice for everyone to be back on a routine. She brought back 11 bags. Okay two were her ski stuff for a few ski outings she has planned. 1 bag was food, health and beauty care products and valentine decorations. 1 bag was all her bedding, towels and coats.
1 bag was her school books, computer and such. 1 bag was all her shoes and another bag her TV.....okay so it really was 3 bags of clothes but still it will be the last time this kinda crazy goes down on my watch again. But the good news is I brought back three huge bags of clothes and accessories.
Next year we are getting REAL! But with that said my happy girl is back with her friends and happy as a clam. I miss her!

Happy Monday
Happy MLK day!

Maybe it is your sinus' and not the flu. Either way, getting sick sucks!
I can't believe the interview process you had to go through. Boggles my mind! I don't know if I'd want to work with such intense people.
Katelyn sure did bring home a lot of stuff! My head is spinning just thinking about it. Benefits of having a boy, they come home with one sack of dirty laundry. LOL

It is sad when they go back, but knowing they are happy helps so much. Good luck with the job hunt :-)

I hope you are not getting the flu. I also did not get the flu shot, and today I have a wicked sinus headache. Hopefully, that is all.

Take Care.

Those flu shots creep me out and I've had one. I am keeping more at home and taking lots of vitamins. Don't know if that makes a difference but I'm trying.

Never heard of an interview like that especially for that kind of position. Seems like overkill for everyone's time since positions like that can have a high turn over. They would be lucky to have you. I could have made that decision about you at "hello".

THAT, my friend, is one long interview. Thats crazy! But I hope you get the job.

6 weeks with your daughter, nice.
Have a great week, and good luck with the job.

My daughter brings home at least one huge bag of shoes every time she comes back from college. Even if it is just for a week.

I got a flu shot, but still managed to get some sort of crud that is not the flu, but is annoying and neverending anyway. Ugh. I am grateful it's not the flu!

It's not too late for a shot they say, as long as you're not sick. Feel better soon.

I've only had one flu shot in my life and I was sick for 4 months! Could be purely coincidental but it was nasty! From the sounds of that gruelling interview, it's no wonder you are feeling sick! I honestly don't understand how an interview like that is really supposed to determine whether you are the right fit for the job - not everything is about ticking off boxes. I guess the question is, would you want to work with them? xo

My daughter had way too much the first year too. Year two was so scaled back!!!

I know exactly what you mean about the flu. Every time I'm out in public and hear someone cough or something I freak out and worry!

4 hours! After the first hour, you should be getting paid. Good luck.

I'm a BIG flu shot fan so I'm encouraging you to still go get it at the drug store!! And I hope you're feeling good.

Katelyn's bags cracked me up. My sister has 3 daughters attending the same college- You should see the stuff the three of them cram in their little Honda to go back to school. It's crazy!

Feel good and stay warm! xo jj

Good luck with finding a job!

And I hope you don't get sick. I have not had the flu shot and I'm hoping I don't get sick either.

That was a long break she had. Hope your feeling better. I don't get the flu shot but we flew over the weekend and I made sure I had wipes with me to do the arm rests and trays!

This is sad but true: I "think" I had a flu shot but I cannot remember!!!! Seriously!!! Everyone all around me are dropping like flies, this flu is terrible! So far so good!

Hilarious anectdote about taking Katelyn back with all of her "stuff".... those adorable young people.... glad she is doing so well in school.

Good luck on your new job! At the very minimum you will have this new skill to add to your resume. xo
