How to kill 8 hours on a train......

Riding on a train anywhere in Europe is the only way to travel. Well actually it's our only choice, we don't have a car here. But I recommend it, it's low cost, efficient and painless, well some what painless. Eight hours is a long time to kill, we played cards, read, and listened to music. I tried to improve my Free Cell percentage and Katelyn took many pictures of herself.
We ate snacks, bad coffee and I slept a little. The scenery was amazing and eight hours flew by quickly.

I love how you put all your pictures together. It looks so cool! Just think of your train ride as a special bonding experience!

I enjoy the "down time" of a train ride. We have a few summer train tours here in Alaska that are fun, scenic and relaxing and we enjoy snacking, cards, and visiting along the way too. Same bad coffee on the Alaska Railroad too....

I also love the photo collage, very sophisticated.
Looks like you had fun and I know I have said it before: these next two years your family will have a closeness that would never have been possible back in the states- too many distractions.
You do NOT see many 15 year-olds hanging out with their parents!
of course, we force Becky :)

I wish the US train system was a little bit more user friendly. It sounds much more pleasant than 8 hours in the car.

You HAVE to tell me how you make those collages! They are great! There is talk of bringing at train to our area. Todd would love to take the train to work! No more 1 hour commute! Plus saving on the wear and tear of the car.
