Corners and Collection

My favorite corner of our home away from home is this wall of bookshelves located in our office. It's a feeling of our home in Utah, pictures of family and friends, variety of books. A collection of travel mementos and movies, games and Nick Knacks.
One thing I have started collecting during our travels is mini plates. I love plates and these are reasonably price items to collect considering the cost of souvenirs in places like Paris and London.

What is your favorite corner of your home and what do you collect?

pretty, so light and airy. Are you enjoying a life without clutter and being bogged down by a bunch of "stuff." You can tell I totally have Spring fever right now! But seriously, it looks so clean and simple, love it.
The plates are great! Perfect collection.

What a fun collection. I don't have a favorite corner yet. We moved 3 years ago and the house is still evolving. I would love a home office but don't have space right now. A collection I'm working on it. I do love jadeite.

I don't really collect anything, unless you count all the kids' artwork, which seems to multiply by the minute.

I have shelves in my den that look JUST like yours. Really, almost identical (minus the plates). I should send you a pic!

I too adore this corner of your home! A great collection of plates! It is so much lighter to carry plates than picking up a stone from every place you visit. Thanks for sharing your corner of the world. xoxo

I collect teapots. Yes I know. It's weird but it's true.

Hi Frau!! Actually, like your sister, the Preppy, I am in a PURGE phase! I once read somewhere about somebody who is living a "carry on" lifestyle.... i.e. paring down the cluttery possessions... as I looked about my sun filled living room yesterday, viewing the dust, I said to myself...gotta get rid of "stuff"!

My favorite corner is whereever my dogs are.

xoxo

Nice corner. I like it. My favorite corner would have to be my desk in my bedroom. It's me. It's my stuff, and my stuff only, and I love it. :)

I like your plates.

I collect too many things! I just love THINGS! ha ha! I think my favorite corner is my big fluffy read chair where I spend my time reading or watching TV. Decoration wise, I think it would be the raggady ann and andys I collect. I have them all over one room, so I suppose that is more than one corner. Ah well!

Lovely corner!! Wish i had one like it... Alas, we've only just moved into this apartment recently. If I had to choose, though, I'd probably pick whichever corner is the quietest at that moment!

I don't know what is my favorite corner... maybe in my music room... I collect Swarovski minature crystals... actually I don't collect them myself... every year from Christmas my mother gives me one... and she has been for years... so I have quite a collection!
LOVE your corner and your plate collection!

I love this Frau!! Such a great corner, and a great collection! My favorite "corner" in my house is a little sitting area outside our bedroom. I have a comfy armchair and spend much of the evening there after the kids are asleep (best view in the house/top floor).

just found your blog and I'm deeply envious. I would love to live in Munich just for a little while.
