Blooming Beauties....

I have been waiting for this day since we moved in...finally they are blooming. My yard I mean garden ( that's what they call yards) is filled with Rhododendron bushes. These are the first blooms, I think the rest will pop soon, hopefully in time for Easter. Bremen is cover with these beautiful bushes, they even have a Rhododendron Park. I guess I know what I will be doing this weekend, a bike ride and picnic in the park. More pictures to follow! Enjoy your weekend!

So, doesn't it really remind you of NJ growing up? Freezing by the Rhododendron bushes while Dad took the Easter picture? Our forsythia is beginning to bloom the Rhodies won't for another two weeks and then my favorite-lilacs
Ahhh, spring.

Although I don't have Rhododendron bushes in my yard, my in laws, my grandmother and almost everyone else in PA has them!!! I remember the one in my back yard as a child, playing under it and all of a sudden being covered in ants! There was a colony living under the bush! ug!

Hi Frau!! I think Rhodys are so pretty. Enjoy the park and the emerging blooms. Love your YARD, that is so funny. When you come home you will have to call everything by their American terms... I agree with Preppy, I am enjoying the forsythia as I drive along snow and ice free NJ roads. so refreshing to my eyes from snow and cold!! xoxo

Ooh, pretty! Finally Spring has arrived here as well. I must take some photos of the daffodils before it's too late.

Very nice bush you have! I love Rhododendrons. We have one that doesn't give too much blooms. I'm thinking maybe because it is near the oak trees. Enjoy my friend! xoxo
