In two weeks I am heading back to the States for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary party. I' am so excited to see family, eat good food and do some shopping. It is really hard to find English books here and I want to stock up to get me through the summer. I'm so out of the loop on what is new and must reads. The last two books I read were The Water for Elephants and The Shack. I'm up for any thing, so ladies any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

I don't really have any recommendations but will be interested to see what others say! I like to shop for books at charity shops but never know what to look for...
The Outlander Series by Diana Gabaldon, and also a series starting with 'The Bronze Horseman' by Paullina Simons, are two firm favourites by many, and will keep you in reading material for quite a while. The first series I mentioned, almost has a cult following lol, with the author set to release her next book in the series later this year.I forgot how many books there are, but there's a few, and some are quite big. Good luck. It will be interesting to see what others recommend and what you decide on.
Hi Frau! Just go into the bookstore and browse to your heart's content. I have dropped off the book radar due to work and blogging. Does anyone else spend too much time blogging? xoxo
OOH An idea, sometimes I like to read a classic novel written by Jane Austen, Charles Dickens or the like.
I'm with Ina with all the blog visits and trying to come up with stuff for my blog, work, laundry, projects... I barely sleep. lol... Actually Kath visit Kim or Kwana they both usually have a book roll on their blog.
How long are you in AZ for? xoxo

My book club just picked The Ten Year Nap by Meg Wolitzer. So far it's good. Congrats to your parents.
Oh 50! Woo hoo for love! My folks celebrated 60! So much of the success is to reading one another - and as far as books, I would suggest;
Marie Antoinette - Antonia Fraser
The Red Tent -Anita Diamant
Jane Austen (love!)
Safe Journey to the USA!
