Apfelschorle

Vilsa Apfelschorle 12x0,5 PET

Before moving to Germany I never had or heard of Apfelschorle. What is Apfelschorle? It's apple juice and mineral water. Germany's number one soda and extremely popular. I used to be a Diet Coke girl, now we go through one of these liter cases a week. It's so refreshing and light, I only wish is had caffeine and all my prayers would be answered. Sure you can make your own but it's the right combo makes it best 40/60.
Honestly I can't remember the last time I had apple juice, I think I was in Brownies maybe 9 years old! I love it you have to try it sometime. I wonder if it would be good with vodka?

Everything is arguably better with vodka? ;) Like jello, for example. Whoever came up with that one was a GENUIS.

Well, I honestly prefer it without Wodka, but more because I'm not the wodka person. I prefer other drinks...
But what you're saying about Apfelschorle is true. It's one of my favorite drinks, too. And there's nothing beyond home-made applejuice...

YES-it would be great with vodka! LOL
Please please, could you inform me as to how one would pronounce its name??

oooohhh try it with some vodka and give us a report. I wonder if there is apple vodka..... Yes, Frau, the little moose in our blog today is indeed way too little. This little guy has been in our neighborhood most of the winter. DH and I were thinking something happened to mama but he/she is a survivor. And I must add, such a mellow little guy. xoxo

Apfelschorle is so hard to come by stateside! A few of the German bakeries carry it now and again but mostly you just have to perfect the art of making it from scratch. Sooo good though!

Based on experience, it's best with vodka (especially Polish vodka)! :) We named the drink "apple pie". :) I definitely suggest trying it sometime... Very tasty! Enjoy!! :)

I wonder if I can find this at BevMo? There used to be an apple flavored soda years ago called Aspen. I loved it in high school. I wonder why it disappeared?

Maybe you can add your own caffeine fuel to it?

Apfelschorle is my son's MOST favorite thing about Germany. He's so happy that even here in the sticks of Kentucky (thanks to a strangly large German population) we can buy Gerolsteiner Sprudel and mix it with apple juice. Just for him.

Someone please get me my Mother of the Year award. ;)

It sounds much healthier than soda. I wonder if it's available here in the states.
