Snow day...

Today my daughter had her first ever NO school snow day. First in 11 years of schooling. Utah certainly had their fair share of snow but some how we never had one. She was so excited!!She got up, listened to message and quickly updated her Face Book Status and back to bed she went!

It hasn't stopped snowing, we have received over 20 inches and counting. It's warm so the roads are clearer and school will be on tomorrow.

We bundled up and took Sophie for a walk....she was a little hesitant at first but soon pounced through the deep snow.

We decorated the Christmas tree, listened to Christmas music.  I made Chicken noodle soup for dinner, ....was a great day!

I am jealous! Nothing better than no school and chicken noodle soup on a snow day! Hope we see some snow down here in the south!

Sounds like a perfect day to me!
I cannot believe all the snow you have. If I didn't know better I swear you live in Alaska! xo

what a perfect day - I always loved snow days as a kid and that thick fluffy blanket of white feels so magical. Sophie looks so cute in her little red coat! I miss watching our dog frolic in the snow - she was always so funny with her face completely covered :)

The snow looks beautiful, so downy soft.
There is nothing better than to find out you have a snow day, and race back to bed. Ahh...to be young again!

I love the picture of your dog surrounded by the snow. Cute cute!!

If we had that much snow where I am from in WA, it definitely would have been snow delays or no school--FOR SURE! But here in Norway it's totally normal. It never ceases to amaze me how well this society function in all kinds of extreme weather!

Gorgeous pictures! I always loved snow days as long as the electricity wasn't out! We have at least one every year in Georgia because when we get a little spit of snow, everything comes to a halt. Gotta love Southerners!
