Extreme...

No school today due to EXTREME temperatures.....
It is minus 7 degrees here currently and with the windchill it feels like minus 20! Too cold for the kids to wait for the bus and be in a already normally cold school. We set our home temperature at night for 65 it is still only 63! Between fireplaces and furnace it can't warm this place up!
I know you are sick of hearing me bitch about the weather but hello this is extreme arcticness I have never experienced! But on the bright side I have a playmate today and lots of plans....except it's 9 and she is still sleeping! I want to bundle up and go go go!

Happy Monday!!

Though it's snowing in Germany, too. I'm happy that we're still in the 20s...
Bundle up and enjoy the time with your daughter :-)

It's -20F by my parents in upstate NY, so you are positively balmy by comparison!
Otoh, that's why my parents also have a place in FL:-).

All I can think of when I hear your burrrr... weather is your neighbor who put out the sticks at the end of their driveway. They were definitely telling you something. smile.... Stay warm and enjoy your mom and daughter day. xo

This is a good day to catch up on movies while sitting in front of the fire (and bake some cookies!!)

I cannot stand the cold either. I feel your pain, sister! xoxo

Wow - have never heard of closing school because it is too cold - is there snow there too?

What does putting stick out at the end of the driveway mean? I'm curious.

We have sticks on our driveway too. Yet somehow the plow managed to dent the fence last time. It's fixed now but he really has no where to put snow if we get more. And of course we're getting more. I dislike the extreme cold. I don't mind the snow so much but it needs to warm up to just freezing as opposed to frozen.

Brrh! I have never heard of school closing for extreme temps. I grew up in Alaska and we wore short in 10 degree weather though I think I must have been crazy.

You're entitled to complain because that is outrageous!

It's freezing here now. FREEZING. This morning, with the windchill, it was -38 Celsius. That's -36.4 Fahrenheit. The actual temperature was about 20 degrees warmer, but the temp that matters is what it actually feels like outside and it was, and still is, damn cold! It's supposed to warm up to about 32F on Thursday, thank goodness!
