Not me but doesn't she look happy!
Wonder if she is sore today...probably not!
I can barely move today....my back is so stiff and my legs well lets just say OUCH!! Its hard to snowshoe with someone skiing okay she moved faster and I huffed and puffed to keep up. Plus I had diarrhea of the mouth, chatty Kathy to a whole new level. Must have been the fresh air, slight sighting of the sun and occasional blue sky.
I'm going to look for used cross country skis so we can go together again...I think I slowed her down!
I did a major faux pas and got yelled at by a hard core skier....I feel horrible about it but he could have been nicer. I walk on the course with my snow shoes oops....only for a couple minutes!
Off to pop some Ibuprofen!! Happy Monday!
Actual blue sky in Western NY unbelievable!

how fun! i've never cross country skiied... is it crazy hard? i like the downward pull of gravity to keep my going. :)
Hubs just said yesterday we need snow shoes. My sister in law cross country skis but she is like iron woman so I'm not going by her when it comes to how much of a workout it would be for me. Hoping this next storm miraculously bypasses us!
Good for you taking up the adventure. Sorry about the meanie though.
Did I read you were with a neighbor?! Yahoo... next thing you girls will be sharing bottles of wine and laughter! Life is looking good Kathy, a smaller pant size and a friend all in one week. I'm verrrry happy and excited for you my friend. Yahoo...
Sounds like a great work out and fun to do something different!
That's great that you took to the snow. I was on the sofa reading. It's nice to take in the fresh air with blue skies.
Just yell back at the "hard core" skiier (aka jerk)
I have done just that! To 2 women who were about to go X-C skiing with large unleased dogs which ran up and got in the faces of my 4 dogs. Halle the Diva was the top battle mistress, she is majorly ferocious when defending her Pack! I joined the fray by yelling at the women - LEASH YOUR DOGS, etc. etc.......
I think I posted about this incident a few months ago.
Don't let those skiiers get to you! PS I too would like to try snow shoeing. xoxo
Beautiful sky!
Ours is the same though it's really cold outside.
I went snowshoeing in Vermont once. It was so much fun! My husband was downhill skiing and I was trekking across the open spaces under the blue skies. It's quite a workout! The next day I could barely lift my legs, but it was so worth it. Being out in the fresh air and sunshine. Great memory!
Oh how fun!! I've been wanting to try this for the longest time now but I don't have snowshoes... and I haven't yet found a park that rents them in my area! Can't wait until I give it a try tho!!
Happy Monday Darling! xo
What a great way to get exercise and fresh air! My DH and I use to snowshoe before we had kids.
The guy who yelled at you...that's kinda lame. Sometimes it's hard to tell where you can or can't go. Oh well, at least you had fun!
How fun! I've never done that before, but I'd love to give it a try.
Super! I ski but would love to learn to cross country and snow shoe...
Watch out for those die-hards on the slopes...they can get territorial. I am married to one...
pve
Sounds fun, but not the sore part! Funny, I was in Sam's club last night and saw snow shoes. I'm starting to think we will need them this time of year around here! Hope your muscles feel better soon!
XOXO

I am still sore from shoveling. ughh.
