Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Do you like chili? Red or white? Beans or no beans? Spice or no spice? Toppings?

Yes I love chili, especially this time of year once the air gets crisp...I like making regular beef chili and I make a Southwest white bean chili and a turkey chili....toppings cheese!! Is it even chili without the beans?? Beans and 2 beano's is a must!

2. Red~Orange~Gold...your favorite fall color?

Depends on what we are talking about....for fall clothes I love brown and golds.....red and oranges for decorating.

3. Who did you idolize when you were growing up?

My parents of course .....and various Tiger Beat celebs back in the 70's/80's ! I also have had some amazing teachers over my younger years that made a huge difference in my life.

4. When was the last time you did something 'arts and craftsy'? Share please.

Probably decorating my front porch for fall...
For me this is about as artsy and craftsy as I get.....

5. What's a place that makes you really nervous?

The doctor's office....not sure why but I get nervous and my blood pressure always shoots up.

6. Horse back riding...yay or nay (neigh?)

Yes for sure but it's been many many years....not sure if I can even get up on a horse now!!

7. What is your favorite cliche?

I don't just have one....
-Misery loves company (I say that once a week at least in my exercise class)
-People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones
-It takes two to tango
-Never say never
-Time flies
-Time will tell

8. Insert your own random thought here.

Along the lines of Joyce's random thought .....about summer fruits coming to an end....I'm sad about all the berries I have enjoyed and now need to switch to frozen. But I'm happy one of my favorite apples are out- Honeycrisp!! I love these apples.....they are expensive so I only buy  them for me and say to my family these are my apples...hands off. You see they aren't picky about their apples so Granny Smith and Red Delicious are fine for them! It's not that I don't share...really!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!!

I'll be looking for some of those honeycrisp apples. I don't think I've ever had them! Have a great day!

I am stingy with my special apples too, but my family still goes after the good ones! Hope honeycrisps make it to Texas soon, but its definitely still summer here!

Now you're making me want to try a Honeycrisp apple to see why you like them so much.

I love reds and oranges for decorating too, but I also love them in the trees.

LOL to the beanos!

Oh Kathy you crack me up. You say no to your DH on the apples?! Isn't he the one that brings home the bacon honey? LOL... You are a hoot, this why I love ya! xo

Your Sophie is adorable. My blood pressure goes up too at the doctor.
I've never done the frozen berries, are they pretty good? Just got some raspberries at Costco last night. I will miss them too. I know someone else who raves about the honeycrisps. I look forward to going to the apple orchards. Enjoy the rest of your week.

I like that pumpkin topiary thingy. Never heard of Honeycrisp apples, but now I'll be on the hunt. Love trying things other people rave about.

Misery loves company. I use that a lot.

I already whipped up a batch of Chili last weekend! Oh and Honeycrisp apples were created right here in my home state by the state university agricultural dept...did you know that?!?

OMG Honeycrisp apples are the crack cocaine/meth of apples. SOOOO GOOD!!!!!!!

For me, I love chili with beans (beef chili), lots of cheese and sliced fresh jalapenos.

My biggest medical fear is going to the dentist. I cannot bear even getting my teeth cleaned. Dental equipment makers need to tone down the nose of the drills and that cleaning thingie that is not a drill but sounds like one. I will NOT let my hygenist use it on me. Also don't allow her to floss my teeth either.

My favorite cliche is "It is what it is" I use it a lot....

Nice Apples
How about the old cliche of You're the apple of my eye - which makes no sense.
Is "whatever" a cliche?
Whatever, just don't call me late for dinner.

Mmm I need to make some chili again soon. And apple crisp!
I hate the dr office too and lately have a real problem with my BP shooting up too.
And I think you've been exceptionally crafty this week!

Yep...I'm scared of doctors' offices too. I don't know if it's the fear of too much bleach (don't these places smell too sterile) or feeling like I'm going to fail some test that makes me uber nervous.

Tigerbeat.. how about John Stamos, or Leif Garrett, or Scott Bao.. Loved that magizine.
I am pretty much in with all of your answers.
I love the porch urn, I'm going to do the same thing with mine. Maybe this weekend I will get something done.

I LOVE honeycrips too... but they are HUGE... my family also loves them - my fault and no matter how many I purchase, they are always gone... and you are very crafty, talented in decorating, your porch, mantles, etc.... How's the college search going?

I'm going to have to try a Honeycrisp. I do not like Red Delicious to mushy.
