Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. How do you typically react in a sudden, extreme, pressure-filled crisis? Would we want you nearby in an emergency?
Depends on situation once working at the grocery store while in college I walked out to call police as the gunman stood there demanding money. My mind went to call 911 so I left to do that and in turn he turned the gun on another employee. Stupid and dangerous of me to just leave.

But once witnessing an accident I quickly pulled over and assisted the scared injured women waiting with her until police came and medical help came.

2. Caramel apple-caramel sundae-caramel corn-caramel macchiato...of the four, which carmel treat would you choose?
Caramel Apple hands down...

3. Is there such a thing as destiny? Explain.

I do.....explain ummm I think all things happen for a reason...

4. What's your favorite piece of furniture? I'm referring to something currently in your possession as opposed to something on your wish list.

Probably my bed....when I'm somewhere else I'm always happy to sleep in own bed.

5. Wednesday night marks the start of the 2011 Baseball World Series. Did you know? Do you care? Will you be watching? Ever been to a professional baseball game? If you're not an American do you find the title 'World Series' annoying or amusing?

I'm not a huge baseball fan, I won't watch but will follow the news on who wins. Yes it bugs me that it's called World Series. With that Go Rangers!

6. A sound that takes me back to my childhood is____________.

Ice cream man truck....nails on a chalk board....uum I'm sure theres more.

7. On average, once you've linked your hodgepodge post to mine how many other participant blogs do you visit? Do you ever come back to the Hodgepodge later in the day or even the day after to read posts?

I try to visit several above mine...and follow a few..sometimes I'll visit the ones that comment on mine....really depends on the day of how busy I am or not.

8. Insert your own random thought here.

We have a new trainer at boot camp and he yells ...I hate it and want to punch him! Seriously this is not a military type workout and I don't need someone over me yelling as I do push ups...I want to complain but hoping someone else does instead....I'm a wimp and non confrontational !

Happy Wednesday Join the fun head over to Joyce's at From this side of the Pond.

Holy Moly, girl! Bet by being a mom you would never do something like that again. Will get your package in the mail today. I ran out of time last week before my trip. Hope you can still use the cupcake kit. :)

All my sister in law had to saw was "I puked after bootcamp"...and all thoughts of attending went out the window!!! Good for you putting up not only with the physical abuse (HA!) but verbal abuse. The things we need to do to feel good. UGH!!!

I'm a wimp about stuff like that too : ) Your robbery story was scary!

We never hear the sound of the ice cream truck around us but that one also takes me back. Enjoy your day!

Yes, yes...yes!!! You made the perfect statement about 'the bed'. I just didn't think of it that way at all, but you're so right.

And caramel apples? Hands down indeed....to grab a 2nd one!!

Scary stuff on the store job.

Ummm... I'm not sure I would like someone yelling at me especially so early in the morning. Have you talked to him after class to get a feel of his personality? Maybe his bark is worse than his bite. I don't like confrontations, but if it is really is bothering me I really try to find a way to at least get my concerns out. It can be through making a light joke or gently talking. It is all in the words and tone my friend. Better yet how about ear plugs? Hugs... xo

caramel apples, my bed, the ice cream truck - yup!
As for an emergency, I've never really been in one so I have no idea how I would react - hopefully smart! :)

Yes, ice cream truck music makes me thing of my childhood. Too bad ice cream truck ice cream is so expensive these days. I like carmel apple too!

I have found that talking back to the trainer does NO GOOD, in fact makes it worse.

I once had a trainer who would make us jump on and off a treadmill while it was moving. Scary. I refused to do it, he would not budge, then I quit. I much prefer the plyos and floor work outs to crazy stuff those trainers come up with. I am an old lady!!

Since the Yankees are not in the World Series, thanks to A-Rod (loser), I don't care this year at all.

I love all your responses. This Wednesday Hodgepodge sounds fun, and challenging. I would like to try it.

My bed is my favorite furniture too, it is the only furniture I need. And I know you are not confrontational, but not a wimp!

I love the wednesday hodgepodge..
What a scary situation to be in, I think that I would have done the same. Crazy!!
I wish that I could find a boot camp around here, I've been doing pretty well.. but that extra push would be nice.
Have a great Thursday

Memories of the ice cream truck made me smile.

And that robbery!?!?! Holy CRAP! That is scary.

I've never done Hodgepodge. I've got to try it in the near future.

Yelling at boot camp? There's no yelling at boot camp. It is motivation we need, not fear and intimidation. Let us know how this unfolds, please.

Caramel macchiato. Definitely.
And the robbery thing? Wow! Just, wow.
My Detroit Tigers are out the World Series, along with Ina's Yankees. So it's on to football for me! Go Lions!

Now that is scary that you got robbed, so glad you didn't get hurt. I sure hope they caught the guy.

The trainer...that's too bad, why does he have to be that way? I would complain.

Have a great weekend, love your newest header!

I'd feel the same way about that trainer! I don't respond well to that kind of pushing.

I love caramel apples too!
