My girl

Last night Katelyn was a awarded a certificate of merit for the 2012 Chamber Choice Student awards, along with nine other students in her school and 30 others from neighboring schools . This award was given out by the Greater  Chamber of Commerce recognizing student achievements.

We are really proud of our girl......
But with that said it was a little disappointing her principal and vice principal clearly do not know their students or could even fake like they did. The principals from the other schools spoke about these kids like they knew them well. Our principal even with a bio in front of him called her two different names fumble through her bio...miss said her college of choice and sounded really unprepared! I know it was ten kids he had to speak about but take the time and read the material...you are a representative of that school don't sound like a bafoon!

She is receiving another award from the Kiwanis Club in our town at the end of the month, I can't wait to see what name her principal calls her this time!

Congrats KATELYN !! We love you!

That is fantastic! Way to go Katelyn. What an idiot that principal is... he could have at least said her name right. Katelyn is not so difficult.

It's too bad the Principal didn't take the time to review the bios. How about taking the time to learn something about them on his onw?
With that said, congratulations to Katelyn. She knows how proud her parents are of her!!!

Congrats Katelyn!! Kathy- I'm sure you and Craig's excitement and proudness outshined the mishaps of the principals. Hopefully they will be prepared better the next time around. Hmmm... Would they forget her name if she was a challenging student? Just sayin ... xo

Congrats to your daughter. You must be so proud. As for the Principal. Shame on them for ruining this special moment. Being PREPARED is part of the job. Take care.

How wonderful for Katelyn to receive this award!! It's a shame the principal dampened the moment. No one will remember him screwing it up, but they will remember the girl who earned the award!

Katelyn is a ROCK STAR! Congratulations and High Five!

As for your school's professionals. Shame on them. That's not even remotely cool, no matter how overworked and underpaid they may (or may not) be.

LOVE your May headers. I'll be smiling all month when I see it.
