Peppermint Mocha Coffeemate Rocks!

randomtuesday

It's 5 am and this JET LAG has got to end! I'm done with you STUPID Jet lag! Being awake at 5 am is for paper boys and bakers!

Since we landed in Utah it's been foggy with the inversion.....you can barely see the mountains. And it's cold....different cold but cold.

Expecting snow today one hand I'm excited....woot woot (that's my excitement at 5 freaking AM)
and on the other hand I hate driving in the snow!!

It's been fun driving again....well at least the first five minutes after that I felt a sense that nobody drives as good as me and they should get out of my way. Come on people WTF was a constant conversation I had.

Shopping with a man (sorry honey) is never fun!

I'm not ready for Christmas.......OH Crap are there any stores open at 5 freaking AM? Besides Walmart?

Katelyn keeps getting the same cold over and over again! It's getting annoying ( sorry honey) but seriously get over it already!

We are staying at my parents place (thanks Mom and Dad) while they are in NJ visiting my sisters. It's nice and I totally appreciate it. But Mom expiration dates are there for a reason because things DO expire. I needed medicine last night for Katelyn and found some cold tablets in junk drawer.....score! NOT expired in 1993!! MOM!! 1993!

I have a dentist appointment today and I'm totally looking forward to it for the Nitrous gas.....sad uh? Not even focusing on the fact I think it's a crown or root canal or something major that could cause pain. No not me I'm focusing on the gas and a power nap before I had to the MALL and fight the crowds.

Have a wonderful Tuesday and stop by and visit the UN Mom and her Random Friends!

I have that same conversation with drivers all the time and often my hand will fly up and a certain finger will even speak....sad I know...but true.

enjoy your time here in the states....and no, I really don't know anything open at 5am....well, the gas station down the road usually is and the cashier there might want some company :)

Uhhh, here you are...hope you get over everything and manage to get into the Christmas mood....
Start hummming: la la la, la la la....
And shop with a girlfriend or you daughter next time soon???
My daughter starts to like going shopping with me, I wonder what happend....
PS: I do not know how adventurous you are in the healing department, but Echinacea from a health store could boost your daughter's immunsystem and we use - apart from herb teas - a NATI pot for repeated colds: you rinse your nose with a warm salt solution, it's a bit awkward, but helps tremendously! My airborne allergies are practically gone and colds very rare now.

Happy holi-daze...darlin'!

ok you just "decided" me.

next time i need dental work (or just a cleaning) i'm goin back to the states.

for the pills, and the gas. (the relax pills never seem to work on me, cuz of my stress about dentists. when they double the dose of halcyon, it starts to kick in. the gas helps a bit.)

they give you both in the USA, if you ask, just cuz of anxiety.

right. does that happen in europe? (if it does, please tell me!)

Those SLC inversions used to freak me out when we skiied there.
But I'm laughing my head off at you looking forward to your dental "power nap". That's certainly one way to look at it.

You are a hoot! I'm glad you made it home safe and sound. Now to read your other posts to catch up. I hope she gets rid of the cold before Christmas. xo

Welcome back to the states. I loved your post it made me laugh. Hope things start to smooth out for you and have a great Christmas.

Who wouldn't look forward to a little nitrous gas? I know I would.

And isn't the inversion such a nice welcoming to Utah? Our plane landed from Hawaii and I looked outside and almost cried.

But it is snowing now so at least the cold is sorta worth it. I hate the ugly melted snow kind of cold, if it's going to be this cold I want pretty snow!

Hope the nitrous was as enjoyable as you had hoped and you got tons of shopping done.

You may have to stock your mom's medicine cabinet with updated meds before you head back. 1993????

Enjoy your time in the states....wave and I'll watch for you and wave back!

I agree... shopping with a man is the worst. My DH is nearly intolerable when we go out together.

That cracked me up about your mom and the medicine dates! lol 1993?!? That is longer than I've been married! That is from when I was still in college! That is some seriously old medicine. :)

Hope the dentist went well and your nitrous dreams came true! ;)

Very funny post, Frau! I hear you. I flew back to Munich from Ohio (10 hrs with layover) on Dec. 16th. On Dec. 18th we flew to Australia (32 hours door to door). I don't know if I'm coming or going yet! On the 28th, 32 hours back to Munich. Enjoy your holiday back in the states. Hope you have a white Christmas!

Hope you enjoyed your gas! LOL!
I always feel flying west is easier than flying east as regards jet lag. Hope you don't wake up too early again! I used to read all night when I went to Japan and battled all day to stay awake. The flight back was much less bothersome as we gained a day somehow.

Have a great holiday and you will have to clear the medicine cupboard out yourself :-)

And I thought that I was the only one crazy enough to view a trip to the dentist as a chance for a nap!
