Black and White Wednesday-My Girl

This is my soon to be sweet 16 year old! I took these pictures in Austria last week on our hotel balcony, I really love her smile, especially when the dimple shows up. I wish I had Photoshop I think I could make better black and whites. Right now I use Picnik and I'm not always happy with the results. I definitely like the color one better mostly because it was a beautiful day, it was so nice to see the colors of Spring.

Stop by Lisa at The long road to China for more Black and White Wednesday's!

Happy Wednesday!

I can't even use Microsoft Paint properly so anything above that is very impressive to me.

She is beautiful dimples and all. I bet she makes your heart dance.

Oh my sweet friend did you say photoshop?! I'm currently taking an online class that once I got in the right class started to get a little cocky to now slowly pulling my hair. smile... I think I should have been born in the early 1900's all the tech is killing me.

I know most of us use our digital camera, but I have been told that the best BW is still the film 35mm and have to agree. I have professional bw film always on hand so when I want that special BW photo besides it is a good backup camera for me.

Any big plans for the big bday? xo

I'm so happy to see both the color and B&W treatments ~ I noticed the backdrop more in the B&W but it was all her in the color!!

Wonderful!

Oh...sweet 16 :D She's beautiful, both in b/w and in colour! As for photoshop (elements), I'm just past the beginning stages myself, and it's not as tricky as one would think...give it a go, and maybe you'll be surprised ;D

what a drop dead smile...and dimples as well :)

i use a bit of everything...microsoft picture it (i don't know if they still include it with word anymore) google picasa which i'm very happy with...sometimes the effects with photobucket...there's a couple of more which i heard were good..gimp..i think - don't remember the other one. you can actually download a trial for photoshop and dang what's that other good one??? for 3 months...but you would probably want to make sure you have some time on your hands so that you can spend time learning it and getting the most out of the trial! which i just can't wait to do!

paint.net is good too...lots of quick tutorials on you tube!
