Friday Fragments

Yay!It's Friday!!! Coming back from vacation I find it hard to get back in the groove. All our ski stuff is washed and laying on the guest room bed patiently waiting to be stored. I just shut the door out of site out of mind! The cobwebs and dust bunnies took over while we were gone, I let them hang our all week...ignoring them! I wish I could blink my eyes like I dream of genie and my house would be clean. Why stop there I want to blink the grocery shopping done too and lets blink to my workouts done....I could go on and on.

Hubby is gone over night to England, home tonight! I heard noises all nightlong..I'm pretty sure the boogie man was in my attic at 3:11 am. and at 5:00 am. as well. My daughter and Sophie slept with me, Sophie hogs the bed. My daughter told me I talk in my sleep. WHAT me no way, next thing you know she is going to say I snore!

I decorated my little house for St. Patrick's Day, I'm a small percentage Irish. On St. Patrick's Day everyone is Irish. My German teacher was so curious of this holiday, she said surly no one in Germany celebrates this. She said so in your country people celebrate this holiday? I was sure not everyone, not like it's a day off work, banks closed kind of holiday. Many people wear green, maybe have green food or a class party, drink green beer. I think I have taught her more than she has taught me. She always says two things when I teach her something, One I'm going to google that when I get home ( she doesn't trust me) and I'm going to tell my husband about this!

We are waiting to hear if we are staying in Germany for two more years or moving back to the States in July. It's been really stressful for us all, we have mixed feelings. Mostly because if we move back to States it won't be Salt Lake City, Utah it will be Western New York as in Buffalo! I really hate the waiting game.

My nephew Jordan is home from the hospital, he has to wear a back/chest brace for several months and has a long road of recovery ahead. He is in pain but is a strong young man and is dealing quite well. We are so thankful he is alive and appreciate all the prayers and healing thoughts. Thank you !

Before I left on vacay I received an award, I apologize I'm just getting to it now. Kwana from Kwanawrites

I know it's a pretty personal question, but would you prefer staying in Germany instead of moving to New York State? You don't have to answer, if it's too personal, I was just wondering.

Have a good weekend.

Don't you hate waiting. It is not one of my strong points! Fingers crossed you get the assignment that is best for all three of you.
Have a great weekend.

Oh the move waiting game-ick. Ours started in May of 08, then it was August, December, February and finally we moved in July 09! Ridiculous!

Hope things are settled for you soon...even if it's Buffalo you can get your head around the idea once you know for sure its happening. Limbo is no fun.

Enjoy your weekend!

Oh I LOVED "I Dream of Genie"! I would be blinking all the time!
Yes, everyone is a little Irish around St. Patty's Day, great holiday! So glad to hear about you nephew. I really hope he heals quickly. I wonder if this will affect his desire to ski? I hope not, but maybe will be a little cautious.
That is so weird that you woke up at 3:11 a.m. I have woken up at that same time more that once. Freaky! I wonder if anyone else has?? Good luck with you move decision!
XOXO

Congratulations on your award! I would be stressed out with the unknown, too. It is so hard to wait patiently...not my strongest attribute.
Blessings, hugs, and prayers,

I still can't get back in the groove after our trip to CA last month. We just keep moving the piles of laundry from one room to another...

I hope you get the news you want very soon!

I understand about hearing noises! If the apartment is quiet, I'm convinced someone is trying to break in or already has!

I hope you're able to go back to the US like you'd like (I know it must be hard being SO far away from family and friends), and glad to hear your nephew is doing better and is home.

Do you want to stay in Germany? Or would it be nice to get back to the States?

GREAT news that Jordan is home from the hospital! He's in my prayers for a full and complete recovery.

I've spent a lot of time in Buffalo and aside from a lot of snow (you'll need a 4-WD vehicle) it's a lovely place. My friend lives in a suburb and the gorgeous Lake and Niagara Falls are part of her view! It's not Utah, but it could be nice.

Waiting is not something I'm very good at. Hang in there. I hope you know your future soon.

Being on pins n needles is not the most comfy place to be. I have my fingers cross for right choice. Sometimes we have to toss it up to the higher power, since he has a better birds eye view. Keep us posted. How far is Buffalo NY to NJ? xo

PS you crack me up about your teacher. She is a hoot!

"Out of sight, out of mind" is my personal motto! I don't always use it, but there are just those times when it feel better to just ignore what's behind that door! ;)

2 more years? You know I am jealous, but I know Germany and England are two different places... Do you have any say or will they just tell you? Hope you get it sorted very soon! Have a good weekend!

I make that "Genie wish" on a regular basis. Right now I have a bum knee that severely limits my ability to walk so the nose wiggle would be even handier! Especially liked the line about having it do your workouts! Amen!

My kitchen wallpaper (which is one of the things I would remove and replace with a nose wiggle or two) has a rooster border. I wouldn't mind a collection of ceramic roosters but the paper ones can go away any time now!

Are you a military family posted in Germany? If so ... thank you for your time and service for our country!

I collect rooster decor and I also collect interesting plates:)

Congratulations on the award. You are a beautiful blogger.

Hmmm...big difference between the weather in Utah and that of New York, huh? Still, it would be nice to be home again.

Glad you had a nice vacation; I guess you forgot to hit "Auto-Clean" on the house when you left; too bad...
