Black and White Wednesday-Kate

My baby teenager has her permit! She is really excited to get behind the wheel and drive. I'm really scared, not because I don't think she will be a good driver. I'm scared about being on the road and teaching her, I'm scared about all the others on the road. I'm scared she is growing up and be coming independent, I'm scared because she is no longer my baby but a young adult. I love her with all my heart so driving starts soon not today but soon!

Join Lisa at The Long road to China for more black and white Wednesday!

Good luck with the driving! I can't even imagine... I'm sure you'll both do great!

She's beautiful! I can only imagine what you feel now... I still have a little over 10 more years to go before my 'babies' will be ready to take the wheel, although my 5yo has already asked to drive and when I told him he's still too young, he said, "Why not, Mommy? I already know how. You just turn the wheel!"

Fun for her, scary for mom. Maybe you can get a car that has a lot of bumper pads all around the car, give her a helmut. Hmmm... didn't I hear in your area that a child cannot drive unless they are with their mom until they are 40? hint, hint. xo

I'm sure my parents dreaded the thought of me behind the wheel, but I had good teachers and in the words of Rain Man: "I'm an excellent driver." LOL!

OMG... I think I would be feeling the same exact thing if I were you. Your daughter is beautiful! Good luck with the driving lessons. :-)

Hang in there mom. It's one of those things ya just gotta do. It comes with parenthood. I got three children through it. And today, my 17 year old step-daughter passed her driver's test on the first try.

Heaven help us all.

Your Kate is so beautiful Frau. I am wishing her all the very best as she begins driving. I know what you mean about growing up... I am not doing too great with all of the emotions that is bringing out in me : (

Mmm...it's so hard to have them break away (I'm not looking forward to that period). Kate is so lovely. I love the relaxed shot you have of her. All the best with this soon-to-be transition!!

What a great photo of her - she's gorgeous! It's incredible how quickly time goes by - my two nieces have already reached driving age too - it's hard to believe. She'll do great!
I took a driver's ed class in highschool which saved my parents from the stress of having to teach me which was probably best for both of us!

She is gorgeous! At least if she is driving she won't need to hitch a ride with any boys!
