My parents are here visiting, so we hoped in the car and headed to Canada. Less than an hour away is Niagara Falls and Niagara on the lake, in Ontario Canada. We spent time walking around Niagara on the lake, gorgeous quaint town with streets line with amazing flowers, shops and restaurants. If you love wine, Niagara on the lake is home to many wineries, B&B's and the famous Shaw Theatre.
We ended the day with a quick trip to Niagara Falls, it was crowded and hot. The mist of the falls felt good and look amazing.
Gorgeous uh?

Oh my, it looks just gorgeous there! I'm envious!
One of my friends, from when we were expats in Shanghai, recently purchased a home in Niagra on the Lake and invited a lot of us girls who lived in Shanghai from 2003-present to spend a week there. We had a ball and enjoyed the area very much. We even saw a play together at the Shaw theater. It is a lovely area. I'm sure you parents enjoyed it.
I love Niagara on the Lake - it's such a pretty little town. We like to visit during peach and cherry season :)

Wow! I've never been to the Falls but it looks breathtaking...especially the rainbow in the background.
What a beautiful way to spend the day with your parents. I bet they're glad you're back in the States :-)
On a trip long ago we ACCIDENTALLY drove through Niagara on the Lake and the whole way through out mouths were gaping open.
We actually stopped the trip briefly to drive through (and around) a few times.
Your post reminded me that we really need to go there for a little trip...maybe next summer :)
