Friday Fragments

Hello Friday!!
I'm joining one of my favorite bloggers for Fragment Fridays-Mrs. 4444's at Half -past kissin time

I'm so happy it's Friday....hubby comes home today from business trip...I really missed him! My daughter will hopefully not have homework to do today and we can have some fun.

I think fall is here, in fact it feels like winter. I'm actually thinking about turning the heat on....yesterday I went from camping by the fireplace to under a blanket pretty much all day.

Last weekend I watched my neighbor across the street feverishly work all day closing his pool and bringing in all his outdoor pots and yard ornaments. I started to panic like he knew something I didn't....what farmers almanac did he have in his possession? Several of my husbands work colleagues took time off to winterize their homes...omg! Does putting my summer clothes in totes and pulling a few sweaters out count as winterizing?

There is a 43 mile garage sale going on tomorrow in the next county over from us! I really want to go!!
43 miles of either a lot of treasure or a lot of crap..still want to go!

Does anyone else have a hard time going from flip flops and sandals to wearing socks and shoes again?
My socks are driving me batty!

Speaking of batty, does cob webs count as Halloween decorations? If yes than I'm ahead of the game and I'm not cleaning my house til after Halloween! Also does Starbucks Pumpkin Latte count as a vegetable serving?   Just trying to plan my weight watchers day 5 serving of fruit and veggies!

Have a wonderful weekend!

I hate going from flip flops to socks and shoes, but I live in Texas so there is no winterizing for us, atleast not yet we are still in the 90's=)

I am so unready for Autumn/Winter! It is much cooler here & I guess I will have to get in the geraniums from outside before the frost gets to them, though it is mild as yet.

Happy Weekend to you!

Sounds like you are adjusting nicely to NY! I LOVE fall and winter, but finding socks that match, etc. is always a horror for me too!!!

sometimes it gets cold - but you can pretty much get away with flip-flops all year round here ;-)

When I lived in Ohio, I had a roommate who would wear flip-flops in ALL weather (snow and rain) Mainly because she was always running late, partly because sh was CRAZY!

Love that sense of humor. Of course cobwebs count. So does the latte.

We've been lucky here, it's been cool in the mornings (and during some days) but I haven't even thought of turning the heat on. I actually have a fan on right now, haha. Though we are going to put plastic over two of our windows tomorrow just to be proactive and hopefully keep the heat off longer.

And I say, go to the yard sale!

Very jealous of your cold weather. Texas is super hot and humid and I can't take much more! And even here, people winterize their homes! Well, everyone but me!

I've always wanted to go to the Route 127 Garage sale, but the 43 mile one you spoke of might be a bit more manageable. I'll have to come back and see if you went!

a 43 mile garage sale - wowza that sounds like fun!

I think. yes. the starbucks pumpkin latte counts as a serve of veggies :) enjoy it!

ps I stink at rule following so you might not want to take my advice on the latte - just sayin.

I would go barefoot all year if I could!

Did you go to the garage sale?

well, we were greeted by the usual rain and gusty winds in Ireland on Sat so goodbye sandals and hello socks - they're driving me batty too!
I would definitely count pumpkin latte as a veg! :)
And cobwebs? I've got some here in the skylights and had the hugest creepy spider in my bathroom when we arrived! heeby jeebies!
Did you go to the garage sale? I would have been in heaven! :)

You're so funny. Yes, I don't get "winterizing" either. Put on a sweater. Done.

These were some funny fragments :) Yes, I believe cobwebs qualify as fall decor; that's my story, and I'm sticking to it, so you can, too.

Get ready for those Noreasters! :)
