Day Seven of Blog Challenge.....Favorite Movies
This one is a hard one, I don't have a favorite movie. I love going to movies but don't go a lot. I don't like to see a movie more than once so I don't buy a lot of movies.
I'd have to say I pick comedy over drama but I love a good drama, romantic movies, some musicals. Don't do scary movies or sci fi movies or westerns or sequels!
I love comedies like Raising Arizona, Old School and Wedding Crashers,Napoleon Dynamite, okay and Hangover!
I loved the Twilight Movies too sorry! And if anyone would go with me I'd probably love Never Say Never too! The Notebook....love a movie that makes me cry!
I love Colin Firth and anything he is in.
I'm a fan of most movies and can find something in it to like. So I'm no critic and never give a recommendation only because everyone taste is so different.
The movie I'm looking forward to coming out soon is Water for Elephants I loved the book so I know the movie will be good. Bridesmaid looks so funny, I laughed hard at the previews excited for that also!
Hands down the best thing about going to movies is the popcorn!

I LOVE Colin Firth... he's so dreamy.. *sigh*
I agree with you. Movies are so subjective and everyone else has different taste. I too adore Colin Firth and he was adorable in Love Actually. If you have not seen that film I know you will enjoy it. I also enjoy a good Woody Allen movie. He is so quirky. After the morning spent at the start of the Iditarod, Elizabeth and I watched You Will Meet a Tall Dark Stranger (one of Woody's recent films) on DVD. Quirky, not for everyone, but I enjoyed it. Many "life truths" and complicated relationships.
I too cannot wait for Water for Elephants, it was one of my favorite books of all time. Beautiful story, beautifully written. Glad I read the book before the movie comes out.
Have a lovely day, and glad you enjoyed all my Iditarod pictures. I had a great time!! xoxo PS Come up next year!! Kit of Dog Daze is coming back. Plenty of room at the house.....
I'm with you, I don't go to the movies alot, but when we do the best part is the popcorn and holding hands. I like watching movies at home instead of the threater. xo
I love Colin too! Raising Arizona was not my favorite, but I enjoy a good comedy. Have you ever seen The Waking of Ned Devine. It is a little bit dry humor, but I love it. It doesn't matter how many times I have seen it, I still laugh.
i think you know that raising arizona is my sister's and my favorite comedy, alongside princess bride.
i hope i didn't already tell you this but i recently showed raising arizona to my husband for the first time and he was horrified by it. he thinks it's not funny at all that a baby's life was in danger. my sister and i can quote the entire movie and have a terrible time restraining ourselves around newbies: ) but my restraint didn't help, he hated it.
otoh, he loved the sound of music, i was able to show it to him for the first time (as you know most germans have never heard of the film). my man actually teared up at the wedding scene. i love that he was touched like that by the precious classic.

Gale: All right, ya hayseeds, it's a stick-up. Everybody freeze. Everybody down on the ground.
Feisty Hayseed: Well, which is it, young feller? You want I should freeze or get down on the ground? Mean to say, if'n I freeze, I can't rightly drop. And if'n I drop, I'm a-gonna be in motion. You see...
Gale: Shut up!
Feisty Hayseed: Okay then.
Gale: Everybody down on the ground!
Evelle: Y'all can just forget that part about freezin' now.
I can't wait for Water for Elephants and let me tell you Never say Never=AMAZING
I do like romantic comedy too!
Can't wait for Water for Elephants,
I'm craving for popcorn now!!
Did we read Water for Elephants in our book club? I am excited for the movie as well. Love "Sliding Doors" as a movie recommendation!
I love Napoleon Dynamite, too.
The only problem is I quote it waaaaay too much after I watch it.
And Colin Firth was a-maz-ing in The King's Speech, wasn't he?!
{and I must disagree. best part of movies = junior mints}
:)

I like some of your picks as well and you know what?? The popcorn is worth just walking into the theater for.
Movies are hard but I do love Colin Firth as well and King's Speech is one of my new favourites. Also love The
Notebook, Notting Hill, Shawshank Redemption and Juno. :)
I agree about the popcorn! I never remember movies, for some reason, unless I see them repeatedly (like The Sound of Music). Guess I just don't have enough storage space!haha
