Sounds hectic around your place. Seen damage sump pumps can do when they're overflowing. Carpet removal/installation is such a tedious task. Been there. Done that. Good luck getting it finished. You have CONVERSATION HEARTS. Lucky lady. I need some of those ASAP. Must be feeling better. LOL Take care.
wow - what is going on over there?? Sounds like a crazy week! Glad your electricity if back on and hopefully you haven't flooded. Strange winter, huh?
There's nothing like rolling around on new carpet :)
We may see some snow tomorrow into the weekend. I was kinda getting used to the idea of a no snow winter. Those conversation hearts are addicting!
I was wondering what happened to you. I take for granted that you blog almost every day! I MISSED YOU! Relax, stay warm, and enjoy that glass of wine!
It indeed sounds like a crazy week!!!! hope you have a terrific weekend!!
BTW, it's been raining cats and dogs here and will do so the next week..:-(
Sounds like you've had to deal with some major unexpected storms. Here's hoping sunshine is on it's way. Those conversation hearts are the best things ever that have stood the test of time! (They do taste a little like Rolaids now though.)
My world has been not so thrilling. I'm been off of work this week due to being sick. With a trip to the doctor for what was supposed to be a cold, I've got a slightly enlarged heart, blood pressure that is off the charts and symptoms that they are threatening to put me in the hospital with. Not good but hoping it will get better.
Yay for new carpet!
Sounds like you've been busy.
Those conversation hearts are good!
Oh my, what a week! That's a bummer about the sump pump. We have one too and I always worry about what if it stops working...now I know! Oh well, hang in there, it will get better...it has to!
LOL, love the "need wine" line.
Sounds pretty hectic there, hope things chill out for you.
Doesn't sound like fun at all! I hope next week is better.
Pulling up those old staples suck!! Hope that baby is feeling better. Have a good Friday.
Yikes... sounds like you need a nice weekend! My sister is heading up to Buffalo tomorrow...meeting her friend at the "one and only" famous wing place... her friend is looking at a sail boat to purchase... Have a good and hopefully quiet weekend... How's the college search, have you decided?
I can't compare to that! I've never done carpet on my own. That is way beyond my patience level! Good luck with everything!
Whew. Glad u have power. Love new carpet smell. Gonna needed after puppy is trained. Raining here too. Sump pump ugggg. Our first house in Layton wasn't working when we first moved in. Gross!
Oh my - it sounds crazy around your place. Hope everything is going well.
My goodness what a week you have had. No power, that stinks. Glad to hear things are getting back to normal. Enjoy a glass of wine tonight with your hubby an relax!
Wow, lots going on! Glad your electricity's back on. Not fun with the power out.
It's been crazy around here... what with J's birthday to prepare for and getting ready for Chinese New Year.
Have a lovely weekend!
Busy bee week!
I bet the new carpet looks so pristine! Great weekend, Frau!!

Whoa! Sounds a bit crazy, indeed! Why not come on over to my place and let's sit quietly on the couch and sip some tea. Or wine.
I yiyi, that sounds like a lot going on! New carpet is a treat but a lot of work. Hang in there and stay warm!
xo jj
