Sundays In My City

This Sunday I'm posting the last of my St. Johann, Austria pictures. These are a few of my favorite things I love to photograph. Windows and doors, shutters and flower boxes I never really notice them when I was living in the States. In Europe you see so many different kinds, I have really developed a love for them. My eyes are opening to different things to take pictures of and enjoy the beauty.

Have a wonderful Sunday and stop by Unknown Mami and travel the world with her.

Just lovely, like "eye candy". And the thought behind the construction of these lovely details, just very pleasing to the passer by or viewer. xoxo

i love the windows! and your presentation was excellent. so glad you had the chance to go exploring and photographing while you were there.

what i do not like: those ubiquitous lacy curtain thingies. i ripped them out of almost all our windows when we bought this house and gave them to "goodwill". (although they kind of go with the cute windows you've photographed.)

I love the color's and designs on the windows and doors! I'm intrigued that so many take such care and notice to what other's seem to care less about, like where I'm from!

Luck you!! :) Happy SIMC!

Wow! I love how you captured windows, shutters, and doors as works of art. They really quite beautiful. This could actually inspire me to make my shutters more decorative. Thanks for sharing, and thanks for stopping by my blog today! :-D

I found I love these things in Europe too! They are just prettier or more to my liking. And more interesting than a normal plan, blan one from North America... Yup, I long for photo hunts like that a lot!

what a great place you are for these....i always loved the big old double doors. one of my friends lived in the old part of Zurich and the doors were amazing...his house was over 1000 years old...been in his family that long. the inside was all like a cement and stone and nothing was really straight and flat. gosh i wish i'd had a camera then.

there is a meme for windows...it's pretty cool

Thank you for returning me close to home. Being originally from Hamburg, Germany (which is so close to Bremen) this was much enjoyed.
Spend a wonderful week in your city a couple of years ago, before being washed to the shores of Athens, Greece.
Please have you all a wonderful start into the new week.

I bet each of those doors and windows have tonnes of stories! When i lived in Newfoundland, their houses were decorated up much differently than in other places in Canada.
How interesting that something simple as a window sill, can dream up the most intriguing backgrounds.
