Fantastic Finds....

On Friday and Saturday I scored big time.....
Found all my favorite collectables!
Friday I went to a Antique Mall close by my house...
I've only ran in there once, like a year ago....
I'm kicking my self for not stopping by more....

Here is what I bought at the Antique Mall

The little Sophie statue to the left...
Never planned on collecting or having a Sophie shrine (as Katelyn calls it!)
But once you find one, it's hard not to buy... so now I have 3!
So I collect a lot of Blue and White dishes and such...
Also have a few pitchers, so whats not to love about a combo of both!
Love all things Delft....little bunny bank...
for $4.00 couldn't say no!
This platter is not my typical blue and white,
but I loved the pattern and the price!
Not sure if I'll hang it on my wall or what!

My workout buddy told me about a flea market on Saturday...
I was so excited to go...walked through the door and almost spent all my money at the first vendor.
These two little oil paintings are from Holland they are about 4x5
perfect for my living room picture wall I'm planning to redo in the future.
She gave me such a deal $2.50 each.
I also bought these three Delft items
Love the little Salt and Pepper people
Aren't they sweet!

These is a little dish...for change or not sure what...
I love this plate and it's round edges.

I also bought this dish from her....
I love the onion patterns also....

I also found this old antique frame....
The picture doesn't do justice...it's weathered and rusty..
cleaned it up some and found an old picture of Katelyn..

Also to add to my Nesting Doll collection...
I bought this guy...it's different
But I like it!

I ran out of money and had to leave a few things behind..
But good news next month is the last of the season at this particular place...
Next year I'll be a regular for sure.
Prices were amazing and the people were so nice...
Lots of elderly people, down sizing...
say their kids don't want this stuff.....
and I say Yay....better for me!

I love antiques. I wish there was something like that in my area. I would spend a fortune! It's a shame that the elderly's children do not want a piece of history. I was grateful for everything my grandparents gave me and like to tell the story behind each piece. Great finds Kathy!

I also love the Delft....... especially the rabbit.
Pity I don't live near as I could give you some of my clutter! I don't have any Delft though. I do love the blue and white.

Nothin beats a great find! I've been on the hunt for those old black TIN round or rectangle baking sheets. If you ever find them, can you grab them for me and mail em? I'd pay you double! They make the BEST pizza! So far, just stopping a little ole' Italian lady garage sales or house closeouts has come up empty.

What everyone else said...

Love all your treasures. So true about the older folks downsizing cuz their kids do not want the stuff. I continuously weed stuff out. But you have lovely things and a great "eye". xo
