Friday Fragments...

Yay! It's Friday!!
Joining Mrs. 4444's over at Half Past Kissin' Time
for Friday Fragments

* Katelyn's seasonal Ski instructor job came to a quick end....such an odd winter everywhere. We gave her a little time off and after her senior trip she started applying...I'm happy to say she is currently employed. Yay! She is working at a new Cupcake shop in town. It has potential to be dangerous for me...will she bring home cupcakes? Will there be discounts? So far nothing as come home.....granted it's day two but I'm secretly hoping one or two come home!

* On that note I took my first Pilates class....my instructor's name is Orlando! Sounds fancy uh? My thoughts were with a name like that he must look like this.....

 Or better yet this.....

If I'm going to be working so hard I need a visual.....but sadly the name did not fit the man....so my visual will be eating a cupcake guilt free!

Not me but I looked a lot like that on the machine! I loved it and man could I feel it!

* Do you watch Ellen? I love her and her message....She is standing behind the movie "Bully" it's an important movie. It has some controversy over the rating, it was given an R rating, but really needs to be seen in middle school and probably younger. It's an epidemic out there....bullying. Please take your kids to this movie....Bullying needs to be talked about and addressed....and most of all stopped!

* Our beautiful 80 degree weather is coming to an end....rain and 50's all weekend is being called for! I can't complain it's been amazing! Our grass is so green and already needs cutting. I got all my shorts and summer clothes out. I'm ready even though my stark white legs aren't ! It's been a real treat!

* I have been on the hunt for a dress....one I can wear for four events...Scholarship dinner, Award Dinner, Wedding and Graduation....sounds easy right! I've been wearing my spanx hitting every shop in town....omg! Nothing more depressing than trying on clothes with stark white legs and dark socks on! Did you know you can get stuck in a dress.. it's true! It's happen to me more than once! It's not pretty...panic sets in...you start sweating, than swearing....than try and dislocate a shoulder or two....possible tear or tears involved! Needless to say the hunt is still on!

Have a Happy Friday and wonderful Weekend!

I hope you enjoy your pilates class. I take a spin bike class, and it burns up alot of calories, not to mention getting my legs, hips and core a hard work-out.

Good Luck shopping for a dress or a couple of them. You may not want to shop online, but Macy's always has a good selection of dresses, as does Nordstrom. And Nordstrom is always free shipping. Good Luck, and keep us informed. Have a nice weekend!

Dress shopping is torture for me so I feel your pain. :o) My daughter worked at a bakery specializing in cupcakes for a while. It was very hard on the waistline. I'm glad your daughter found a job though...she's very lucky. Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I was watching Oprah (surprise surprise, it seems its all I do these boring days) but she was interview Lady Gaga, I know Gaga. BUT she started the Born This Way Foundation aimed at celebrating kids just the way they are and it's making HUGE advancements against bullying. So much that the foundation was launched at Harvard. That's not too shabby for a lady who arrived at the Grammy's in an egg...

she's doing great things, and it's nice to see someone with influence really step up and say this has to stop.

Cupcakes...YUM.

I miss the free coffee from our daughter when she was working at Starbucks but I'm glad to give it up since she is now doing a more career type job at a school.

I like Ellen and when my kids let me, I try to catch her show. I will check out the movie. Cupcakes would drive me crazy. I love them.

I have been stuck in a dress! Had to call a lady in to help me out!! It was so embarrassing.

Since we homeschool, I didn't know that bullying had become so horrible, but I remember it being pretty ugly a couple decades ago. I hope parents and kids can turn that around. It just takes a moment to defend or shed light on such things. I hope that message go viral!!!

GOOD LUCK with the hunt for a dress. Finding the perfect one can become a bit of a chore. But having a cupcake or two at home could be worth the effort. I was bullied as a child and later as a teen. It is NOT something any child should have to endure. Take care.

I was just about to read your post this morning when Halle began to have a major seizure!!! Long story short she is fine now and I am back!

Cupcakes!!!! OMG.... Katelyn probably had very little work this winter at the ski resort. You had no winter to speak of but it seems that March has returned...

Good luck with pilates and the less than awesome Orlando.... we have a client named Oreste and let me tell you, he is S E X Y.... he is an Italian and he is a ski instructor.... ooooohhhhh..............

I agree with someone, just get a classic dress. Have you checked out White House/Black Market? They have super great outfits... xoxo

That cupcake is awesome, I've never seen one like it before.

I HATE bullying. I taught MS and HS and it was EPIDEMIC. I stood up to the bullies as much as I could - - - but I KNOW they did the MOST of their bullying when NO ADULT was around.

Seriously, don't you know better than to show us middle aged woman pictures of hunks. I am licking the screen. The cupcake doesn't hurt either. Now off to take a cool shower. hee hee :)

Your fragments were a real treat; very entertaining, my friend.

Good luck with the cupcakes!!

What a blessing, to have so many wonderful occasions to wear that dress. Good luck with that, too :)

My mouth was watering at the picture of the cupcake (congrats to Katelyn). Then I saw the pictures of the shirtless men, now I am drooling!
