I'm sick of raking my
neighbors leaves! Don't you think there
should be a
rule if the leaves are from your tree you pick them up?
Yes did I hear a few yes out there! All the trees in my
yard garden are bare, yet I have been raking and raking.
Where the hell are they coming from. Do you know how hard it is to rake cobble stone...okay it's not that hard but it is slippery. So I'm counting raking as my
Workout today. I have to rationalize my whining and blisters are worth something besides a clean
yard garden.

i think there should be a law! if they are your leaves, you rake 'em! i have the same problem.....have a good workout!
xox
Why not just not rake them?
Hey, I'm going to be raking today too, and just for the record, the leaves are from my neighbor's tree that hang over our driveway. Talk about a difficult surface to rake and I hate the sound of that scrapping on the pavement!
Oh no I would have to camp outside for the whole fall season if this was the law! We do rake and try to keep up with them. Lucky both neighbors on each side have big trees. Hmmmm... wait I don't think my leaves are as bad as the neighbors tree leaning over one good storm bye bye side of the house(hopefully no one will be home). His response this is what I have insurance for. LOL... Love thy neighbor. Smile... Have a golden day my friend. xo
I hear you on that law. Leaves are such a pain.
YUCK!
We have sooo many leaves...who knows where they all come from, but I believe they multiply while we sleep. We have got them up several times and now our yard is several inches deep again...almost 2 acres of leaves!
Blessings, andrea
PS: Yes, it definitely counts as a workout in my book.
Yes, I would like that rule very much. For branches too!
What about a leaf blower??
The many leaves in my driveway (now gone) are from the trees on Joan's property. For years she has had her leaf crew do my front yard and driveway when they do hers.... the best neighbor ever! She just did it, what a treat! PS she is doing just great in sunny, warm California!!!!
That stinks, but it SURE is PRETTY!
LOL! I live in Houston, so our leaves never fall.
Darn leaves!!! I guess accelerant and a match are out of the question, huh? ;)
Ok. I stopped feeling sorry for you when you said the word "cobblestone." "Asphalt" or "cement" would have gathered a lot more sympathy. Leaves on cobblestone? Wonderful. :)
Seriously, I'm with pink- they look so pretty on the cobblestone next to the stone wall.
Plus, you grew up on oak st. raking 24 tree's leaves, this is nothing!
Our leaf problem is totally out of control at this point.
Am I a bad person if I'm secretly hoping for a really windy day at this point?
You are working out and what better way to look at it!
I wonder what would happen if you got out the chainsaw and hacked off all the branches hanging over your side?
Raking leaves if a pain but they sure are pretty.
Looks like you could use a little help from me and John.
I wondered if you read Laura's blog (honeypiehorse.) Where in SLC did you live?
And the nice thing about condo living is no leaves. Just naked neighbors.
For your work out tomorrow why don't you prune a tree??
Charisse
Agreed. He who owns the tree also owns the leaves therefore is required to clean them up!
Hey! Try blowing leaves daily! Its like some sick joke! Its non stop here too! I feel your pain!!
get a leave blower!
Less calories burnt though...
xo
Ugh! Raking leaves IS a workout!
Hang in there. Fall's almost over.
xo
I think raking leaves is a GREAT workout! Way to go! You are so dedicated to working out! You inspire me : )
I for one am glad to see the backside of Fall. We have a tree in front of our house that has been making a huge mess of our front garden.
It's a city tree. Sigh.
YES...a rule!! The only tree I have is about my height and yet I spent all of Saturday raking. Then all of Sunday RE-raking when the piles blew all over the place (we have to leave our leaves in piles or sanitation will not pick them up. Grrr.).
Thanks for the "pew love" -- I sent Mike the link to my post today and he was quite proud of himself. ;-)
Our leaves go into our neighbors backyard. I can't get back there to rake them.
hey, if you are in germany, you are in luck.
it is law here that you rake your own trees' leaves. and that means you must go in your neighbors' yards and rake them, cuz they're your trees.
so i heard on the tv.
