It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas.....

Yesterday the Christmas Season officially started in our house! Christmas music was blaring and the decorating started. It's always a struggle for me, maybe I'm a bit of a control freak I want final say were things go. I say you guys have at the tree and the rest is up to me. If they had their way I'd have decorations in every corner of my house and I like it in limited areas. OMG I am a control freak!

Last night Craig and I made our way down to the City to preview the Christmas Market. If you ever have a chance to come to Germany wait until Christmas time, the Christmas markets are beyond words. Katelyn is sick and it was really cold and rainy so we made her stay home cause that's the kind of parents we are, mean caring.

We went to the Christmas Market in Nürnberg. It was so fun. Definitely a great way to start off the holiday season! Although Germany kind of already started the holiday season right after Halloween! Can I get your email address so I can invite you to read my blog about Germany?? It's set on private.... my email is katie.toppel@gmail.com

OMG... you just sound like me, I am shocked. I thought I am the Xmas control freak....See, when I grew up in Germany my parents would decorate everything, almost over night the decorations would magically appear, same with the Xmas tree, which only appeared on Xmas eve. We children were not allowed to see it before. So naturally I tried the same here. Well, impossible. My husband being Polish has a whole different set of ideas about Xmas. It took us years to have silent nights....
And the markets are wonderful, truly enchanting. Just came back from Berlin and we saw the opening of the Xmas market on Gandarmenmarkt. So pretty!
Bremen's looks lovely too! Enjoy!
Is this Gluehwein or Cocoa???

Hi Frau, I'm lurking today Lol! Wow, those photos are gorgeous! What a beautiful place to be, I'm like you though, control freak! I too decide where the decorations go and they had better not get moved once I place them Lol!

I would love to go at Christmas time. Boo's brother and wife and niece live in Germany and we've been talking about visiting. Maybe we should start saving now for Christmas.

What kind of mother are you? Making your kid stay home just because they are sick... RIDICULOUS! : ) Wink Wink!

My friend Kristi is in Berlin and I think she went to a Christmas market too! I would love to see one. I know it is a beautiful site. I LOVE your hat! You are so pretty!

Seriously I don't even have all of my Halloween decorations put away! I am in big, big trouble.

I don't know what happened to the time this year but it really is flying. I'm also partially blaming the weather...it's been so mild in NY/NJ that's it's hard to believe it's DECEMBER (well, tomorrow). I'm sure I'll regret saying that when it's below freezing next week. ;-)

Hope Katelyn is feeling better! (lol..."mean caring")
