On the 3rd...
In the village outside of where we live
We missed the parade....
But saw the fireworks from afar....
These are Katelyn's pictures she was sitting in the park with friends...
right under all the action...
On the 4th
We had a BBQ
hot dogs, hamburgers, corn on the cob, pasta salad, strawberries
and patriotic cookies...
My hubby ate a lot of hot dogs...like he was in a contest...
there was no contest...
Ask me if he ever wants a hot dog again??
NO....not until next 4th of July
After that yummy fest...
The town we actually live in....
Didn't have a parade
But did put on fireworks...
It was quite a show...
30 minutes long...
We watched them from the convertible
made for a quick escape
It was a wonderful Holiday
I hope yours was just as fun!

It sure looked and sounded like fun! We have fireworks next month in our village to mark the end of the week long beer festival. All of us line up on both the small bridges of Lohr and elbow each other for the best spots. Now I would love to have a convertible like that to settle down and watch the fireworks..:D Thank you so much for following me on my facebook page. Have a great remainder of the week..:-)
We didn't have fireworks - too dry around here. Looks like you had a good time.
Fireworks are always fun to watch. We are lucky to have fireworks 15 minutes from our home. It was the town I grew up in, so we always went to the fireworks. This year our neighbors decided to set off illegal fireworks and almost set the neighbor's (across the street) lawn and house on fire. (The lawns here are pretty dry from the heatwave). The sparks were falling down on cars too. Thank goodness they are three houses away from us, so we didn't get hit with their stupidity.
We didn't have any fireworks here- it is so dry. I couldn't believe I saw the temp in the car at 101 yesterday- today is supposed to be hotter. The air is so thick already this morning it is hard to breath. xo

Seeing FIRERWORKS from a convertible sounds like the BEST time, ever.
You have some good firework pictures. Mine never turn out so this year I just watched and skipped the camera : )
